I don't think his ultimate goal is championships. Of course a goal to to achieve. I think his first thought is getting his kids to the NFL

The best thing about Coach Miles is that he believes that it's not whether you win or lose, but, how you play the game.

He's the best coach for children that I've ever known.

If you guys want to lose to bama and stupid arse ark or lose om dumb unnecessary plays then you must be loser and not aspire to something great..

Is this really how you view any alternative less than being #1? If not, please explain what would be an acceptable outcome for most, or every, season for you? I suspect the answer will make you feel like a gump...

I'll go out on a limb here and suggest that "hardware," is just a bonus to doing things the way he does. I truly believe that damn near everyone in college football has lost sight of what the game is supposed to be about. I think having a stand up, likable guy, who puts a competitive team on the field, year in and year out, while occasionally fielding a "special" team is exactly what he's supposed to do.

There are maybe 5 coaches in the game who can claim his lasting success. Subtract the ones you know to compromise their integrity to accomplish their goals and you're down to 1 to maybe 3. Given that, I think asking for more than what you get, year in and year out from Les Miles, is a recipe for always chasing your tail and wishing for the next best thing. The grass isn't always greener on the other side and LSU doesn't "deserve" to always finish in the top 5, despite all of your notions to the contrary...

Fire away, just sayin and yes, I got off early and am feeling no pain, deal with it. Geaux Tigers!

If only they could really see this.

I seriously hope you are not one of the few on the Rant that have actually been educated at LSU. I'm not sure I can tolerate the notion we have the same teacher any longer...

Your opinion means 0%. You know how I know that? Your interests on your profile states: 'WOMEN'

If we wanted your opinion we'd drive out to Denham Springs

It happens to the best of us. Keep that head up, and hopefully after watching our tigers play today you will feel a little less homesick

Typical comeback from one of Leslie's Little Lambs. Loyalty is good but blind loyalty is weak. Grow some Gray Tiger. You and old Choc sound ridiculous.

What has happened that would make you believe that Les will different? Try to answer seriously and not with some clever insult return. Nothing has happened! Your mind is made up already. Scrape some of the plaque away from your brain and wake up.

Oh and if by some miraculous event from heaven Les sees the light and starts coaching better, I will be ecstatic. I don't mind losing when your team gets beat. LSU beats itself in most losses. Nuff said.

Choc is smart enough to recognize CLM's weaknesses and how they impact the team periodically....although he wont openly acknowledge them all the time.

Gray Tiger and BeeFense are lost causes. Both went full 'tard years ago and never recovered. Both live in the past glory, refusing to see whats holding us back. Miles walks on water for them and that will never change.

Preach it brother. I agree with everything you said, but would like to add the "hardware."

I sympathize with you Mo.
To the other Negas in here, yall a bunch of miserable effete if you wake up on game day against Auburn running your mouths like you are. Damn! shite gets old. Turn off your tv at 2:30, go kick your dog till Bama Om comes on. Yall like whiney little girls going thru their first period.
As to those saying CLM is just trying to get folks in the NFL.... WTEffen F?
That's what he coaches for? Don't know what else to say about that.

you serious? 2 SEC titles, 1 national championship.

Only 3 active coaches that can lay claim. Spurier, Saban, Meyer. But yeah go ahead an find me another coach with the same amount of hardware.

From 75-99 LSU won 57% of their games. From 2000-2004 LSU won 75% of their games. From 2005 to the present LSU has won 78% of their games.

The LSU coaching in the past decade has had us winning at a higher rate than at any other time in the past 40 yrs. of LSU football. That winning has come at a time when SEC football has never been stronger...no 3 L's west titles work any longer.

quote:

Loyalty is good but blind loyalty

If our loyalty cant be a little blind to a HC who has given LSU better results than any coach before him in the last 40 yrs. and who has shown he wants to be the LSU coach as opposed to showing that LSU isn't a good enough coaching gig for him, I think some are more than a little confused as to who deserves our "Loyalty" and who doesn't.

Since 2011...
Replaced Greg Studrawa with Cam Cameron as QB/OC.
Replaced Greg Studrawa with Brent Grimes as OL.
Replaced Brick Haley with Ed Orgeron as DL.
Found Tony Ball to replace Adam Henry as WR.
Found Kevin Steele to replace John Chavis as DC/LB.
Retained Frank Wilson as RB.
Retained Corey Raymond as DB.

No. 6 ranked recruiting class in 2013.
No. 2 ranked recruiting class in 2014.
No. 5 ranked recruiting class in 2015.

Replaced Anthony Jennings with Brandon Harris as his signal caller.

I'd say that's quite a lot of change in a very short time frame.

Place your loyalty with whoever you want....its a free country....it doesn't change things a bit.
