At halftime over 50% were gone. From where I was sitting the student section and the yellow seats closest to their section are always the worst. Late 2nd quarter folks were rolling out. There are slot of upperdeck ticket holders who would love that upgrade.

Shut the frick up dude, you sound like a little jealous bitch. They pay a hell of a lot more in tuition that you pay for your shitty tickets in the upper deck. What does it bother you that they leave early in a blowout game. They will be in the stands when they are needed.

Really?? What percentage of the university attends the football games?? Without the other 80,000 in Tiger Stadium there is no football. You don't make the program bro.

That might literally be the most incorrect thing I've ever read. Without students there is no university; without a university there is no football team and you would no longer have a subject matter about which to make deranged comments.

On the other hand, if every non-student fan decided to stop supporting the team. there would still be a damn team, now the team would probably suck and the atmosphere would be nowhere near what it currently is, but the team would still exist

I'm paying $26,000 a year for my daughter to attend LSU. Then she's paying additional $$ for the Season Ticket, so F-You! It's bad enough she has to BUY one- when I was a student we just showed our ID's.
This IS a UNIVERSITY.

How to keep the students at the game? Easy make students swipe their card to leave. And give priority points based on when you leave.

5 points for swiping out after the 1st.
10 points for swiping out after the 2nd.
15 points for swiping out after the 3rd.
And a full 20 for swiping out after the game.

0 points for your ID not being swiped.

If it wasn't for us there wouldn't be any noise. Maybe you people should stop letting a "50%" full student section set the bar if you're going to complain about people leaving. I never leave, but it's fricking North Texas and Washington. It's going to be the same for Idaho and Towson. If you're going to complain about our attendance for these games, we should be expecting a praise thread after the Bama game. If you're going to complain at least be fair.

Priority Points? Really? Yea a bunch of 18-22 yr olds will passs up booze and women for priorty points.!! good luck with that.!! They will leave early for the blowouts, don't even know why this is even an issue for some of you rantards. When the big games come, they will be the last to leave the stadium..!!!!

I think a bigger problem is the scheduling of shitty games.

I'd rather play USCw and lose in a hard fought contest than play Townson or the other scrimmage games that don't even excite the team.

I'd rather play USCw in the national championship than risk getting a head to head loss to another national championship contender. If Va tech didn't play LSU in 2007 they would have been in the national championship because they would have only had 1 loss.

By halftime your buzz is gone, gotta leave and go redrunk.

I've also left at half to go smash. Regret nothing!

To be fair the conference realignment threw the schedule out of whack we were supposed to play TCU instead of Towson. But yea we shouldn't play more than two cupcakes a year and even then I'd rather them be cupcakes like Washington and Pitt or something, not Idaho and North Texas

I actually care a little about priority points. I sat 5 rows up for the BCSNCG last year. However, when I was a a fresh/soph/junior I didn't give two shits.

Granted...I'm pretty upset with the overall fandom of the student section as well.

100% ridiculous amount of students leaving games early. Pathetic that the student section has been reduced to trash leaving at halftime.

Yep...they think supporting the team is leaving early to party!!!!

You're an idiot. Students are the loudest part of the stadium and get into the game more than any other area. So go ahead, take back the student section, but be prepared to have the stadium atmosphere of a ull game. Once again, you're an idiot.

It's time to take back student section tickets

This gets brought up every year.

UW was an announced sell out, but not everyone in the upper decks even showed up. Take their tickets.

People sitting around me (sec 411) started leaving before half time. Take their tickets.

People in the gold seats left in the third quarter. Take their tickets.

I also love how the OP stated "take back" student tickets. Time was every student who wanted to go to the game got in. They've already taken tickets away from students.

I never left a game early as a student, and I've never left a game early as a non-student. But if other people want to leave early that's their prerogative. Point is, it's not a student section issue. 50% of the whole stadium leaves early.
