Bama has been pumped up and prepping all season for this game because they knew we were the only obstacle between them and Atlanta.

We took their best shot and came within a couple of minutes of winning even though we played like crap.

When a team watches film there are always things seen that could've been done better.
That excuse makes sense if you play down to your opponent, BUT against a superior opponent.... no way. There's a reason those mistakes were made and it isn't all bc you messed up, its bc your opponent made you mess up.

Wrong. Bama hadn't played anyone yet and when they finally played a real team they "played bad".

He's knows better and the fans know better. They must have a degree program in trolling at that school.

Gotta be kidding me. LSU made them have a rare bad day. Same thing happened last year in Tuscaloosa, and the year before that.

Saban has mind control over some people. The National championship game really had people that spooked to believe that Bama was this team that was far and away better than us? They haven't been. Like someone else said, 1/9/12 was the anomaly.

Bama secured two victories last weekend

Bama beats LSU
Bama beats Bama

Bama improves to 10-0 on the year with the double victory. Very impressive.

From a thread earlier this year:
Until you lose. Then it sounds like this:

"I don't think there's an excuse. They beat us. They really did," McElroy said. "They did a great job. Credit their players and their coaches. We just didn't come out and play the way we should have played."

Notice how close he came to giving LSU a compliment. He was soo close to saying the better team won. Then in the last remark, the Saban training kicks in and he stays on message about how they beat themselves. Almost a Saban coaching breakdown, but McElroy was able to right the ship there.

What we learned (from the first meeting with LSU) is we beat ourselves. LSU didn’t do anything to beat us. We made mental mistakes. We have to focus on what we have to do this game. … I think we beat ourselves. We got in the red (zone) five or six times and didn’t execute. We did something to stop our progression in scoring.

quote:
We wanted to come out and show the world we beat ourselves the first game. We wanted to come out and dominate from start to finish, and that's what we did

quote:
Trent Richardson said the coach said, “We’re beating ourselves. It wasn’t nothing we hadn’t seen.”

Equal as fat as talent? According to who? Not any of the national recruiting sites.

We were also missing 23 players that were on the team in june.

We are not as talented as bama. When they average a 1.8 recruiting ranking over 5 years. They are the most talented team in the country. Lsu is around #6 with 8.6. Yet we are the only team that can give them a run for there money.

We also had the 18th ranked class last year, bama #1. Thats a huge gap. We played 15 freshmen.

I personally liked Bama #9 throwing kisses out to the crowd when they scored the winning TD. Hell, he wasn't even on the field when it happened.

My idea of a team "beating themselves" is turnovers, penalties, blown assignments, dropped passes, missed FG's, etc....

Bama had 1 penalty for 15 yards - LSU 7 for 51 yards. Bama missed no field goals and LSU missed 2. Bama 2 lost fumbles (to zero for LSU) but for all intents and purpose, LSU's 3 failed gambles on 4th down and the onside kick either squandered a scoring opportunity or gave Bama great field position and had the same effect as turnovers. LSU actually did more to beat themselves than Bama did.

Bama fumbled the ball on the goal line on a botched hand off. When they averaged 6.6 yards per rush, you have to think that they were going to punch that in....or worst case, kick a chip shot FG.

Maybe thats what they were talking about?

Those guys and their fans are some arrogant bastards.

This!! The BIG HEAD GUMPS!
They know we should have beat them .

They have to have some excuse rather than admit any team could be as talented as them!!

Show me. Show me one quote from any LSU player that said "Florida is a better team than LSU". They beat you this year, so that should be easy to find. Think I can find some quotes suggesting LSU "had a bad game"?
