To say that a team that doesn't run the option exclusively will be as effective as a team that solely runs it is what's ridiculous. Your OL's size and speed in comparison to Bama's OL speed and size is irrelevant....

In comparison to other defensive strategies, I would say that the Bama D is actually designed specifically to combat up tempo offenses. The defense was built with the spread and no huddle in mind really. You'll never see the Bama D huddle up because you can't do it when playing an uptempo team so ...

I've never relied on ESPN's recruiting analysis. Rivals and 247 and then Scout, Scout doesn't take into account JUCO in their final team rankings from what I remember....
