Is LSU offense starting to peak

I am saying both, but mostly the latter until they prove otherwise.
I guess it boils down to how effectively did Les use that bye week after the UF game.

combination of both. The offense looks better, however, the defenses they were going against were terrible. We'll find out just how much they've gotten better tomorrow, cause Bama, without a doubt has a very good defense.

I said before the game that if LSU's offense puts up 30+ against Auburn, the offense has improved, despite how porous Auburn's defense has been. Then we put up 6 TDs on Tulane. We put up what, 31 points on ULL?

when we abandon the run for the most part and pass pass pass our offense does better than when it was ranked in the 100s
AU and Tulane both blow on defense though, so that has to be kept in mind
our offense has played bad Ds this year and still didn't look nearly as good previously, so it is improving

LSU has played one team with a defense similar to what Bama has and that team manhandled LSU.

JJ still holds the ball too long. That is the 100 percent problem. Our offensive line is pass protection based, and we'll open up the running lanes by throwing. Unfortunately, if you take an insane amount of sacks for waiting for people to come completely open (and ignore Richard Dixon), you aren't giving the defense anything to worry about.

I think something to consider is confidence. We haven't improved so much as far as being able to do everything better, but we have our outstanding talent playing confident and believing in the offense which I think was an issue early on especially with a young QB.

Running is still anemic. Hopefully Shep gets more carries at Rb and can take one to the house for the 3rd week in a row.

I think both factors have an effect. Also, I think the defense has been increasingly helping the offense.
The first half of the season, the defense was giving up long, sustained drives to nearly every opponent, which was keeping LSU's offense off the field and they never really seemed to get in rhythm. Starting with the UGA game, in particular, the defense really tightened up. They held UGA to something like 1 or 2 first downs in the first half, and so were able to put up pretty good yardage that half (though only 6 points). They also did a similarly good job against Auburn in the first half, which allowed the offense more time with the ball. The UF game could've been better, but the defense did keep us in the game; and I didn't see Tulane, so no comment on that one. In any case, I see a correlation of the defense improving/getting the other team's offense off the field and LSU's offense having more possessions and starting to come around.

if we are talking stats keep in mind auburns defense is better than some of the teams we "struggled" with earlier in the season.
Auburn is not as bad as everyone keeps saying they are.
As for tulane, only 3 teams have put up more points than we did and those offenses are in the top 20 nationally.
No, those defenses were not great, but you can't simply discount an improvement on offensebecause of that.

But I'll agree, LSU's last two offensive productions were due to both improvement and competition.
I still think the Tigers beat Bama tomorrow.
