Have I made the claim that he was? No, but I guarantee that with the talent we had in '06 Saban would have won he championship that year.

But according to 99% of ranters , LSU lost teh AU game in 06 cause of the refs. And I don't blame Miles for the loss at FLA. The team made real badlytimed mistakes and FLA was good enough to take advantadge of them.

Saban is good at recognizing previous mistakes, going back to the 01' season with Rohan. When he finally eased off and went with the big gun, they went on a roll.
I believe Saban would have done the same with JR in 06'.

Saban is much more hated than Les Miles (and I'm not referring to LSU fans).

How is Saban the most hated coach? That is impossible. If you are talking about LSU fans I am sure it is about 75%/25% love him/hate him.

Well LSU [even with Miles] was the BEST team in the country at the end of the season. I would have loved a rematch with FLA in the NC game. agree???

That team had so much pure talent it was as if we almost had to try not to win. Which pretty much happened.

Like I said earlier I would venture to say that approximately 75% of the LSU fanbase would welcome Saban back with welcome arms, myself included. Once he left he was a few minutes away from coming back in '07 until Herbstreit fricked that up for us and I don't have any doubts that Saban would have been contacted behind the scenes in '11 if Les would have left. It is well known that his wife loves it in Baton Rouge and Nicks heart is here. Hell in '07 his wife was in BR looking at houses and Nick was in a damn hanger at BTR talking to Skip.

and Skip couldn't come up with enough money, PLUS Saban is a been there done that kinda guy. He would NOT have come back to fix a mess he already fixed.

This was maybe, maybe true a few years back, but 75% is a stretch.

But times have changed... its as if you are posting with no knowledge of the 2010 Season. Have you had a massive blow to he head recently?

I don't think people hate Les Miles they just think he is a lucky idiot (I'm not one of those, btw).

What was so great about the '10 season? Did we make a BCS bowl? No. IMO any season we don't make atleast the Sugar is disappointing.

So basically you think LSU should at the very least win the West every year or its a disappointing season. Think about that for a second

well...there's not a coach in the country that could do that. Its the hardest division in the toughest conference in the nation. Maybe you should lower your expectations
