Actually, he bailed on us for NFL glory!! In case you forgot.
Okay and he wanted to come back in '07 his wife was already in town looking at houses and he met Skip in the hanger at BTR. He wanted to come back his heart is at LSU even to this day.

LSU fans don't hate Les. Hang around on this site less and you will get a different perspective. I think Les is awesome.

If it's the coach that matters so much, using your logic Les should have lost every game to Saban. Come on,
"Saban would have won the championship that year" Thats just dumb.
If Saban is such a superior coach to every coach in the country, then why is he .500 against Les Miles? Why didn't Lord Saban defeat him every time?
Why did Lord Saban blow a 24 point lead AT HOME to Gene Chizik?
If only the coach matters (which seems to be how you think)the above scenarios should have never happened right?

All this Saban love is getting old. He loses games just like every other coach. But for some reason, he gets a pass when he does. He left LSU, Miles chose to stay. I'd say we got the "better" coach. If people hate Les Miles, then they have no clue how lucky we are to have him as our coach.

I don't know one person outside of Tigerdroppings in my life that likes Les. '05 they were praying he didn't come and '07 they were praying he left and Saban came back. Lastly in in '11 they were praying Michigan took him.
You hang around with a lot of people that don't know shite about football and hate success then. If you hate a coach like Les that is a winner, then you truly are a miserable person that doesn't have a clue about football. Thanks for outing yourself as another person to not take serious in any football discussion thread on this site.

I actually believe that if Saban was in that situation with the hurricane and no weeks off, he would have folded under pressure. Miles handled that situation perfectly. Our players were under alot of pressure and needed a coach like Miles. Saban would have made the situation much worst.

The LSU fan base has more than its share of idiots, and they're vocal, here and elsewhere. Les isn't perfect, nobody is, but we're fortunate to have him.

No. How can someone hate him with the numbers he's put out so far at LSU? (regardless of his coaching style)

What do you mean "HATE"???? Do you even know what "hate" means? That is a very strong word, one used by toolame fans when talking about Miles and the Tigers. You are one sick puppy! No one hates Miles, he is just another LSU coach. Won't be the last, either. Get some help, please!

that said, he does some off the wall stuff and he's had enough talent to win more than 1...that could piss some off knowing lsu will most likely always be in the championship hunt. Things do go in cycles, so the 90's is also possible...its been a while
I think it is true we have had a lot of talent. But I personally have kind of changed my mind about this. To say that we should have won more than one since Les came to LSU would not give credit to the amount of talent at other schools in the conference. Alabama, Auburn, Florida have all been at minimum equal in talent and all have great coaching staffs. Other schools like Arkansas, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Georgia etc. certainly have enough play makers to beat anyone in the conference on any given Saturday. And in Georgia's case I don't think I have ever seen a football program more destroyed more seasons in a row by massive injuries to an offensive line. Almost freaky. But look at the top teams in the SEC and look at their recruiting. You really can't draw a line between the talent.
