Is Neal Walk on the same level as Spurrier or Tebow in Florida Gator history?

Burrow had the greatest statistical season ever by a player at his position while winning a national title and the award for the best player in his sport.

Simmons’ team didn’t even make the NCAA tournament.

I don’t hate him but he was All-SEC, the #1 pick, and NBA rookie of the year, not a whole lot of TEAM spirit though

Shaq was a great dominate player.. but imo, Pistol Pete occupies his own space..

I can appreciate what Simmons did at LSU. If he had competent coaching, they would have been a factor in the Tourney.

He is a freak athlete, worthy of the number one overall pick. If he gets a decent shooting coach to work with him, he will be one of the best in the NBA.

With that said, no one associates him with LSU. That’s not going to change in the future.

Are very different questions... Most people who know anything about sports would know both of these names, but obviously Burrow was far superior on the field/court

No LSU athlete except for maybe Pete Maravich is on Joe Burrow’s level.

pump the breaks, guy.

Shaq is easily above the level, especially worldwide.
PLENTY of people don't yet know who BDJ is. IF he wins an SB, then maybe that changes.

Hell, Bregman won a WS* with the Astros. Many other LSU athletes are nationally recognized. Honey Badger, Fournette, etc.

So true, the dislike for him is definitely understood but the ignorance of him not being a good basketball player is ludicrous and I don’t mean a washed up rapper

He wasn’t a dominant college player. He was greatly talented but didn’t care some games and wasn’t the player he could have been. Wasn’t much of a leader, didn’t get along with people, etc. He also accomplished nothing here.

So no he isn’t close. Great player but not so much here at LSU.

To be fair, the staff at the time basically just handed him a basketball and was like “alright well our job is done”

They didn’t really do anything to develop his game or even put a system around him to be successful so I can’t blame him too much for being checked out on that team knowing he’s got millions just waiting on him.
