This is retarded. He’s one of the best basketball players to wear P and G. He’s not near the top in terms of collegiate accomplishments. He was a one and done player. Of course he sucked as a team leader. Calipari deals with this shite constantly.
Simmons wasn’t a good team leader, but he was still a damn good player for the year he was in BR.

Pete Maravich, Joe Burrow, Warren Morris and Billy Cannon are in a class their own. Next level; Shaq and Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf, Jacob Hester, Matt Flynn, Matt Mauk, Wally Pontiff, Glenn Dorsey, and about 20 other baseball players are more recognizable as LSU people than Ben Simmons.

Simmons had a bitter chip on his shoulder at the notion of HAVING to play college BB and made it transparent the entire time he was here.
Shaq embraced it in every way and it played a huge part in his marketability down the line. Being still revered at the school is just gravy.

No, for several reasons:
1. LSU didn’t even make the NCAA tournament with him on the roster
2. Ben seemed to disappear at crucial moments of close games
3. He publicly shitte on his time at LSU after he left both insulting the university itself and raising eyebrows towards possible academic cheating and grade fixing allegations.
4. He refused to play in the NIT and quit on his team to protect his draft status.
