We'll be asking this question about miles next year but in letting him go.

No, LSU still would not have a QB who can consistently pass or depth in the trenches.

If we keep OM or Arky from jumping out to 21 point leads I bet we could have pulled out one of those.

Can Chief develop QB's? If not, no.

Not that this question will be given proper attention due to Chavis becoming a villain of sorts, but my brother and I raised the same question while viewing an earlier game (pre 3-game skid). We were both of the opinion that Chavis's defenses seemed less porous than Steele's. However, during the 3 game skid, I do not believe either defense could withstand the weight put on it by such a stagnant offense IMHO.
Also, holding LSU to 19 was not a bad effort by A&M, but LSU's defense played well last night.

Thoughts?
not really.
Probably the same exact record.

If he was going to work with the O Line and Harris, yes I think Chavis would have made a difference.

Same exact crap. Nothing would have been different.

2013 was leaky in the secondary, but this year's personnel was much better. I think the defense would have been better, but probably not outcome changing.

No, our paper thin front seven is a direct result of his recruiting. Having Chavis means we would have still had Brick, who wouldn't have gotten half the production Ed has.

The only difference is we probably would have given up our lead in the 4th quarter to A&M. Then no one would have been carrying Miles around on their shoulders.

Chavis was shite in our best offensive year and young is no excuse
Chavis d last year cost us games
Chavis got lazy in recruiting and left us thin
Our special teams put us in shitty position often as well
It wouldn't make a difference. We finally got some pressure on the d line

yes, we loose a couple more games and at this time have a new head coach. Probably that dude from Houston.

We let Moo State score late and lose that game with Chavis, IMHO.
