Im not pulling anyone down, I wish they were a perennial power house, it'd be better for LSU if they had a great program right down the road. Im legitimately asking, wouldn't a rivalry be more defined a rivalry if UL was really good more than once every few years?

There are many fans on both sides that take things overboard in my opinion. For me, being a UL fan, I don't care what LSU does. As long as the Cajuns win I'm happy. And it's like that for a lot of people in Lafayette. But there are some fans that take it too far as I said. Not all fans are bad, but they have some on each side that make the whole side look bad.

well that confirms it. both fan bases need to pack their bags and figure out travel arrangements to Nebraska.

You're right I re read your post and I understand where you're coming from. It's people like slippy who claim people I know should die because they cheer for Bama.

I care/cheer/route for/route against and generally consider ULL just like I do La Tech, ULM, Southern.

For the most part, I NEVER consider them, just don't think about em.

Tulane is different, mostly because I grew up in NOLA and I plan to hit one of their home games this year, but unless it benefits or hurts LSU directly, they are irrelevant and invisible to me.

@Slippy

So I guess we should kill Kwon Alexander then right? He's from Bama and picked LSU so by your logic he deserves to die. You are the standard definition of a moron.

have you not been watching college baseball lately? Louisville has been a really good team the past few years. The beat Vandy in the supers last year. i dont like how they play, i think the batters dive into pitches, but they have been succesfull at it.

I agree with this. I cheer for them all when they play anyone other than LSU. UL seems to have been more in the lime light as of late, plus more of their fans hate LSU fans which is partially what makes this more of a hot button topic.

I liked USL until I discovered this years ago. I had no idea there was so much hatred.

With Tulane I am like that, with ULL I am completely indifferent. If their athletic program were to completely dissolve tomorrow, I would have no feelings one way or the other.

Once we hit the post season, I will want them to lose like I want every other higher seeded team to lose.

Do the Louisville jokes ever get old to y'all? Keep in mind the only posters who have refered to ULL as UL in this thread are LSU fans.

Can we please stop this "UL" foolishness?

The school is UL-Lafayette, or ULL.

It used to be USL, before that, SLI.

It is the "Sybil" of identity-crisis universities.

It will NEVER be UL or University of Louisiana.

Please stop.

After living in Lafayette for the past three and a half years and living with the grandson of the former athletic director of ULL here are my assumptions:

1. 10% of their fan base wishes LSU and all of their fans would die
2. 50% of their fan base supports LSU but will only support LSU around LSU fans or outside of Lafayette
3. 40% complain that Lafayette should be the premier city in the state and ULL's engineering program should get 100% funding from the state, and LSU should get nothing
