I can only speak for myself in saying that I thoroughly enjoyed it. There was about a 4-5 year stretch in which every team I was a fan of in Louisiana either won a championship or was competing for one: all LSU teams, the Hornets, the Saints. A perfect storm for a sports fan. I was just thinking that yesterday. And preceding that stretch was Skip Bertman era baseball (the final years) and Saban era football. Great time to be an LSU fan!

Thoroughly enjoyed it until the JJ JLee debacle in 2008, 2009-10. 2011 had some great moments too. Other than that 1 year LSU has been mostly irrelevant after November since 2008.

We were ranked #2 in the nation this season. Yes we embarrassed ourselves but it's a far cry from irrelevant.

"From 2000 to 2015, LSU has won the following": don't forget 35 straight wins wearing those dreaded purple jerseys. That would have been unimaginable before the Saban and Miles era.

Saban I felt like we dominated and played to the talent on the team.

Miles frustrates me, too many mental mistakes and not using the talent at hand.

This has been perception much more than reality.

Wow. I don't even know how a negatiger can say this.

It seems the attitudes are sort of divided, and 1/9 was the breaking point for a lot of people.

I will admit the 2007 championship team was the most frustrating season to watch.

Mostly because we were obviously the most talented team in the country but so undisciplined, lost 2 games we shouldnt have and at the time thought they had ruined the season. Salvaged the season my backing into and winning the NCG.

On the flip side, the 2011 season was easily the most fun team to watch. So good on defense, O was great for most of the year. And then tanked at the end and put a bad taste in everyone's mouth on what likely was the best regular season in CFB history.

I did. I'm good with that. I was there many times when it was happening.

I'm content.

I thought it was the most exciting season to watch. I've been going to games since 1959 and have been a season ticket holder since 1979 and I was never so entertained as in 07, despite the two losses.

What makes you think next year won't be a part of this "Golden Era", especially if these past couple years have been a part of it???
