How many HC gigs have been offered to DaCoachO?

No school in the power 5 conference would allow Les to be the interim coach.

So O can take over a team someone else built and win but if he has to build a team on his own we are fricked?

The team he took over (USC) was not winnng when he assumed the head coaching job.

Coach O has a history of being a great recruiter.

Agreed. Fk seeing what O can do at Lsu. Let's bury him now.

Nice melt.

I will go out on a limb and say O will have a better and more exciting brand of football than Les had from 2013

That's nice. But I couldn't care less how "exciting" it is if it doesn't mean he wins more games on a consistent basis.

It's true. Let's see how that translates when he's the one holding the keys to the program. Still a lot to be determined re: Coach O

Late to respond to this thread but all you need to look at is the first game last year to answer your question

First game we lost Whisky in Whisy.
They went 11-3 and finished 9th.

subjective

who has the more accomplished career? Miles' resume before he ever stepped foot on lsu's campus is better than Ed Orgeron's accomplishments.

Agreed. If we had hired Fisher this would be a guaranteed "LSU" answer. At the moment, it is not. At best, it is "subjective" or "incomplete."

Will you clowns give O a chance? He's passed nearly every test so far. LSU fans despising our Coach does wonders for recruits.

Which tests has he passed? Losing to the two best teams on his schedule?

Not until there are 10+ win seasons. UF should have been a disqualifier, and until he is able to surpass 9 regular season wins I have every right to consider the information we have "incomplete."

Note that I did not say "disaster" or "absolutely" anything. Only that we don't know, and yes, the hire still scares me.

We will without a doubt. Miles was a good administrator recruiter and figure head, he's never been a good football coach. There's no question when it comes to knowing the game and actually coaching that O is better than Miles, Miles is in the bottom 20% as far as actual coaching goes.
