I was a miles supporter and appreciate what he did at Lsu. He had some great years. He lost me in 2016 against Wisconsin when he basically said fu to administration and fans alike. o deserves a chance, but people like you want to shite on him without giving him a chance. I'll wait and see and give him the benefit of the doubt until he proves he doesn't deserve it at Lsu.

Alabama, Michigan, and Ohio St have all made bad hires, and bama and Michigan multiple times. Of course that was several years ago, when you were in diapers.

It was obvious that Miles was too stubborn to adapt on offense and was taking his 1950s offense to the grave.

What's stopping him from hiring a young oc this go around with fresh ideas?

I don't think he gets offered the job. But he would obsolutley be a thorn in the side. And most likely pull some upsets here and there.

I'll repost this from the other thread. Bottom line, no way Miles doesn't do better than 3-21 in Oxford. And I'll take this bet against anyone:

quote:
There has been a lot of bluster from the Miles bashers that no one is scared of Miles at OM, he isn't turning them into a contender blah blah. Ok, fair enough.

But I would ask this question, does anyone think Miles would do better than 3-21 in the SEC if he went there?

If so, what does that say about him in comparison to the man we replaced him with?

Miles has faults, but I would lay serious money on Miles winning more than 1 SEC game a year at OM. I would be happy to do ban bets with Ree andant of those other dumb fricks that are clearly drinking buddies of O or Ponamsky's fatass himself.

I'm sure he will, however I also think Orgeron would do better than 3-21 now. Ole Miss has more talent than they did when he got there, and Orgeron hopefully isn't the same coach that was there over a decade ago. That's a moronic argument.

IMO, it was the inexplicable 1/9/12 debacle that soured things for CLM and fan base at LSU. Never recovered his mojo.

What difference would that make? Its like some of you just started watching Lsu last year.
Please explain to me how different the Lsu offenses looked under 6 different coordinators?
Les runs Les Miles offense PERIOD!

Uh...chiz wonatitle too...but I know this is your opportunity to shite on O.

I can tell you as a miles supporter, I'd have had no optimism about Lsu this year. With O, Canada, and aranda, we will see a different brand of football. I for one am excited. So screw you and your negativity.

I still gave him a chance, as despite not winning the title, they had a hell of a season...and a break in 2012 and they win it all again. After that, he went down fast....I bought in to that he would change last year. I went to Wisconsin. Never been more disgusted.

This was the final blow for sure. The frustration had been carried on for a lot longer than that but somehow Lsu continued to pull out wins and everyone gave Les a pass for the stagnant offenses that he continued to field.
Toss dives and Hail Marys were the norm. I don't know if Orgeron is the answer only time will tell , but Miles had to go!

I'm excited to see what Lsu can do with the athletes that we have and Canada calling the plays!

Look what Esminger was able to do with the same players last year. I-Formations and 2 TE sets aren't fooling anyone anymore!

I bet you would hire Sylvester Croom ,Mike Shula, Gerry Dinardo,Ron Zook,or Derek Dooley back.

I'm sure they have learned something like our current head coach said he has.

Give me an example where I've shite on Orgeron. Just one. I have never, not once, shite on any current coach at LSU.

I'm all for giving the current coaching staff a chance. So I don't know where the frick you got the notion that I'm not willing to support the coaches and the team.

Perhaps you should try to pay attention to the posts that you are referring to (like mine, where I never once shite on Orgeron) and just respond to what I actually said to you.

Ole Miss easily.

Nobody knows if this was a bad hire or not, that's not my point. My point is Alleva settled because he was taken behind the woodshed and slapped around in negotiations. You know as well as I do that when he fired Miles that he had no intentions of making O the HC. If he did why didn't he just name him HC from the get go? It was the epitome of amateur hour.
