Seriously, after Alleva missed on HERMAN and Jimbo, who was next and would they have been a better hire?

Only give names of realistic hires. No saban, Meyer ECT

Mike Gundy should have been a serious candidate.

There were up and coming successful coaches out there that would have taken the job. There were options. It's not our job to determine who the right man for the job is (like so many good ole boys were inclined to do with O). It's the AD's job. He failed.

Mike Gundy, Dan Mullen, Bobby Petrino, Larry Fedora, Lane Kiffin (more experienced than O), there are more also. We did a poor search.

Edit: Bobby Petrino from Louisiville. He couldve been good here too.

Chip Kelly is jobless, we could have checked there, we didnt Im sure.

The barrel was empty after those two... I didn't hear of any decent names after those two... at least not any without some kind of baggage ....

There are definitely pages of coaches that are more qualified than O

Yet we only had one option from the start.

I am still disgusted by the process

What "search"? There was no "search". Alleva went to Jimbo and Herman and said "here is the offer. Take it or leave it. I will just hire Orgeron if you don't."

Fleck, Mullen, Brohm, Gundy, Fuente, Venables, Taggart

The question is who couldn't we? fricking Hudspeth and Rebowe have better track records as head coaches than our loser imbecile Cajun baw. Literally anyone would've been better

The guy O coached against last night. He should've been the third phone call.

Fedora would have been better. He is a proven HC. P.J. Fleck would have been better. I was against the hire from the get go. I can't remember any school firing a HC for performance and then promoting a position coach from that same staff to be the permanent HC.

A better question might be, "Who in the h$ll wants to coach at this dumpster fire??"

Let's face it.....we're now about like 99% of the teams in the country....desperate....

Fleck is my favorite coach in the country. It's not an act the way he handles his program. The only negative is his lack of ties to this region, but I'm sure that wouldn't take long to overcome.
