Love the guy, but I don't believe this for a minute.

Yes.

But if he fails to make the playoffs next year with LF and Harris a year more experienced (as well as much of the team) he's out if it was up to me.

Nothing is more attractive to a big name coach than following behind a coach that got fired after a 2 win season.

I know most of you are fragile creatures but you could try to use logic sometimes.

The only way he gets fired is a four loss season this year and another one next year. Otherwise, he's here through his contract unless he resigns.

Of course. That's a really good season when nobody expected much better than 8-3 or 7-4. But do you really think we win on Saturday?

And, then what? Hire a coach who will lose out on some recruits while Miles gets scooped up by another school and he turns them into a conference or national title contender overnight while we struggle to become bowl eligible? As much as we rag on him, that's what probably will happen.

Ummm.. if you haven't noticed, LSU hasn't had a complete team since Saban's recruits have left. Les is a very good recruiter as far as getting talent, but not as far as getting the complete team needed to win a title. Nearly every recruiting class he's gotten has had huge holes in it, so unless he's taking over a juggernaut that is already loaded, he's not getting them to a title.

People are so delusional. Even if Miles loses the last two, he's not going anywhere. The seat isn't going to get legitimately hot yet, he has next year to prove this isn't a trend at least. I'd bet a lot even if the worst case scenario played out, he wouldn't be gone until the end of the 2016 season at the very earliest.

They forget that Les has the built in excuse of "we can't afford to break up this amazing recruiting class".

What good are these recruiting classes when the team has 1 SEC West title since 2008?

I'm pretty sure the average poster on here was saying 3-4 losses before the season. Talk about total lunacy

1. LSU is NOT going to pay Les Miles $15.5 million over 2.5 years which is what they would havr to do if they fire him before january 1, 2016. (Its $12 mil if they wait til Jan 2.)

2. So, Les Miles will be HC next season no matter what our finish is UNLESS he quits.

3. Alleva could make it hard for Les to stay IF Alleva plays hardball with Cam's contract or lack THEREOF. It COULD be January 10, 2016 and LSU announces Les is leaving with a reduced buyout. It would be a mutual parting in that case.

4. The real problem with #3 is that it sends a very bad message to whomever LSU might want to hire as HC at that point. NOt to mention, most vacancies will already be fkilled by that point leaving LSU with limited choices for a new HC.

2 losses per year would be an improvement.

Even the almighty Lord Saban pulled off that feat only once during his five years at LSU.

at's literally what over 90% of this shitty fan base thought we would be before the season started.

There's absolutely no way in hell 90% thought we would go 10-2. From what I saw on here MOST were predicting worse than that for sure.
