There's no way he's given a redshirt year for being charged of a felony.

And les miles wouldn't let him back on the team because it would be a huge distraction every week and potentially split the locker room.

JJ is done. Last seen walking around campus with just socks on trying to make a statement.

But would the NCAA let him considering the circumstances?

Dusty Dwyorcak or whatever the big white DT at Oklahoma about 6-7 years ago beat his 125lb high school friend into a coma and got a redshirt year.

i hope JJ never comes back though

Doc:

In your opinion, what happens if, at trial, Jordan Jefferson is completely exhonorated. I'm not talking about being found not guilty, or having the charges reduced to a misdemeanor/pleads guilty. I'm talking about something along the order of this thing going Ollie North, where Jefferson comes out smelling like a rose in the collective mind of the public.

Does that change your "Jefferson is done" stance?

I hope someone drops the anchor on this thread.

Let me guess, you are one of the HS kids that works as a runner in Unglesby's office aren't you?

Doc, you're kidding, right?

Because if you're not...well, I really don't know what to say about JJ's attitude. I'm at a loss.

No. Other people saw it as well. But those threads were whacked for whatever reason.

He's protesting or something.

Sounds to me like he's trying to be some kind of a smartass.

For all his BS about developing into a leader, he sure doesn't sound very mature.

If my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.

Jefferson shouldn't redshirt unless he can play tight end or cover kicks.

We don't need him or his 'leadership' at the QB position, and if I had my druthers, we wouldn't have to worry about him coming back on the team period.

And we seem to be just fine at QB without him.

Yes we do. However, I suspect that KBeezy knew I was being sarcastic and was merely following up with evidence.

Unless you were being sarcastic . . .

I predict he will miss this whole year and finish his senior year at a small school, like Southern or Nicholls.

Can only happen if he graduates. Transfer rules require a player have more than a year of eligibility left to transfer from FBS to FCS and play, absent grad school rules.

Jerrard Randall will already be more viable as a 'dual threat' than JJ ever was next year.

You don't have to petition the ncaa.. If he doesn't play a down and has his redshirt available he gets to come back, end of story.

That is wrong. You have to petition the NCAA in every instance. Schools cannot award redshirts on their own.
