-LF7 95 OVR

Another crappy Bleacher Article, but makes me wonder what LSU's starters ratings would be

Jamal Adams not being on this list is perplexing.. easily a 93 OVR at least

If you actually play the NCAA games, the ceiling for a true freshman is around 82, and they develop by about 4-6 per year.

So putting Fournette and Adams in the 90s is borderline retarded... but to be expected from BR.

I actually keep a file of LSU's roster with what I feel like they would/should be rated based on NCAA Football the game because I used to play it a lot back in the day and it's a good way for me to keep track of the roster... I have done it every year for 7-8 years now... Anyway, here is my starting 24 for LSU for this coming season...

QB Brandon Harris So 84
RB Leonard Fournette So 93
FB John David Moore RS So 82
WR Travin Dural RS Jr 90
WR Malachi Dupre So 86
TE Dillon Gordon Sr 88
T Vadal Alexander Sr 92
T Jerald Hawkins RS Jr 92
G Ethan Pocic Jr 92
G Josh Boutte Jr 86
C Will Clapp RS Fr 85
DE Tashawn Bower Jr 84
DE Lewis Neal RS So 82
DT Davon Godchaux So 89
DT Christian LaCouture Jr 87
MLB Kendell Beckwith Jr 92
OLB Lamar Louis Sr 87
OLB Deion Jones Sr 86

Also, 84 was the max for freshman in the earlier game but, in the later games, I saw freshmen as high as 88 if they were among the top ranked players in the class... And while 3 was the average progression for a player per season, it was nothing to see a guy jump 5-6, or even 7-8, so having a 90+ sophomore isn't that crazy by any means... When I ran franchise mode, I had lots of guys get to 99 before the start of their 4th year, and some even get to 99 by the start of their 3rd year...

I miss that game. I only played this game and played it religiously. If Chubb is a 96, then LF should be as well. I know Chubb's numbers were better but LF is the better back.

But to the guy with the list, that is a great list and pretty spot on with your ratings.

The user tag for 14 ratings is call me LSU

It's like a brand new game, I'm glad they don't make me she'll out 60 bucks anymore for the same thing.

You missed Paris and a few high profile Freshmen. Jackson, Key and Johnson. I see you have Dupre and Toliver at 86 and the two starting DEs at 84/82. I think Paris would have been rated 84-86. If you know the EA rating system, Jackson would probably be ranked at 88 due to his high 4*/5* status and he would have a speed rating of 96 and agility 96. Key would also be higher then the starter due to his recruiting rankings and speed. Maybe 85 or so. And TJ would be an 84-85 also due to him being so highly rated and him having a higher speed & agility rating then Dupre.

Would have certainly been interesting to see though.

Here's my entire 70 man roster since you are asking about non-starters... I actually do have Tolliver, Paris, and Dwayne Thomas all rated 86, as well as Rickey Jefferson... (70 was always the roster limit size for the game is why it is 70... I have the others rated but I only take the 70 that I would want if I were starting a franchise)

They aren't the only ones doing this. I've seen plenty of lists and the guys that update the rosters for 360/PS3 do this as well.

Some ratings are a little too high, but I like Fournette at a 94 and Adams around a 90

I love LSU as much as the next person. NCAA had a strange way to rate players. The highest freshman you can recruit come around 80-81 and improve about +6 at the most. But for example, as a sophomore they would rate Chubb at 92. They did the same in Madden. OBJ was originally rated at 77. When they updated the end of the season he was like 86 as a rookie.

Some of the ratings would look like this:
Jennings/Harris would be somewhere around 77.
LF would be rated around 88.
Dural and Chi would be about 83. Alexander would be the highest rated around 92 on the offense.

Defensively the ends would be around 75. Interior would be around 80. QT might be the highest rated because he's a senior and EA sports sucks at ratings so he would probably be 83. KB would be at 85 with Deion and Lamar around 79. T. White would be 84. KT would be the highest ranked freshman on the team at 79. JA would be around 86 and Mills would be the highest ranked player on the team at like 94.

EA was extremely weird on their ratings. LSU would be ranked like 16th in the game. Average rating around 80 or so. Funny enough a lot of LSU players are underrated in the game because they didn't "shine" till after they leave.

For example. Hypothetical. Patrick Peterson may not be ranked as high in the game because he didn't intercept 10 balls. But they don't take into effect that quarterbacks didn't throw that way simply because of the caliber of player he ja
