re: MY outlook for 2015 (football) - IsaacBrown2
You have a very selective memory. Both ran I-form and spread formations, Brandon slightly more so that he could run. AJ is the better pocket passer and it shows in his ball placement compared to BH. If Brandon can learn the position better then he'll overtake Anthony on physical abilities alo...

tigerpawlquote:WE looked pretty good.Therein lies one of the fundamental problems. The fan base seems to settle for "pretty good".
I said what I saw not that I liked it. We looked pretty good under AJ and that won't get it done. Did you not read my entire post? ...

re: MY outlook for 2015 (football) - IsaacBrown2
I think the combination of Steel and O, will make the Defense better. The key, as always, is the QB. I like Jennings, but if he never saw the field again I would not be upset. I am willing to have a 3 loss season with Harris at QB for the possibility of an undefeated season there after, rather t...

re: Feleipe Franks possibly Terrelle Pryor 2.0? - IsaacBrown2
quote:Also, the Pryor comparison is bad. TP could not throw the football in the ocean. He sucked as a passer. So, we better hope FF is nothing like TP. I really don't think I would be too upset if an LSU quarterback went 210-323 for 2,772 yards and 27 TD's to only 11 picks (Pryor's 2010 seas...

re: Elbert Robinson III - IsaacBrown2
ER is just not in great shape. If you watched him at the beginning of the season, he could barely get from one end to the other. He lost a great deal of weight and it seems he still needs time adjusting to that. I think people get so enamored with the big-time FR and forget that not many FR can ...

re: Feleipe Franks possibly Terrelle Pryor 2.0? - IsaacBrown2
quote:Pryor was 6'4, 225 and ran a 4.4 40-yard dash out of high school (He ran a 4.33 his sophomore year at OSU). 247 has Franks listed at 6'5, 200 (I haven't found a 40 time for him, anyone know?). I'm assuming that with him being a dual threat he must have a relatively close 40 time to this...

re: Cole Kelly - 2016 Pro-Style Quarterback (Lafayette, LA - Teurlings Catholic) - IsaacBrown2
It seems LSU is more interested in kids OOS. This kid looks just like Ryan Mallett. Obviously we don't know how anyone will fair in an SEC game and film can be misleading. But if you are looking for presence and arm talent, this kid is legit and is the second best QB in this state. Do we know if...

re: Davon Gouchaux to DE? - IsaacBrown2
He and Herron are PERFECT 5-Tech DEs in the 3-4. They are just like the Bama DEs who play in the 3-4. 295-305 guys with quickness and who can stop the run are ideal 3-4 DEs. They are both lean DTs, which make great DEs in the 3-4 but who can also play the 3-technique in the base 4-3. ...

re: How long does it take to develop a typical high school QB - IsaacBrown2
Depends on the training the kid received prior to college and the system he is coming into. The issue with LSU and Cam(as he admitted himself a month ago) is that LSU has Pro concepts and pro terminology may have been too much for Harris and even Jennings early on. Or, maybe he could have only given...

re: Chavis's departure will end up being a blessing - IsaacBrown2
Here is the reality for all on the fence with the Chavis departure and Steele coming in..... Chavis had a great reputation from his days in Tenn, but if people really remember, the SEC was bad then. His only competition was Florida and some of the early 90's Bama teams. Just go look at how they d...

re: Starting Lineup - IsaacBrown2
Its more to balance the team and give LSU something "off the bench". If Q started, LSU would get zero production off the bench. When Q comes in, most of the time, the other team subs also or shortly thereafter. So, Q is in with other bench players. Yes it would sound better to play all your best...

re: Why so down on Harris? - IsaacBrown2
I don't think anyone is down on him. I love Harris and think he has the ability to lead LSU to a Championship and be a Heisman candidate. But LSU has never been good with young QBs. With Golston, LSU would have a vet and a great bridge to Harris. I am not a fan of Braxton because he is not a passer....

re: Question about Speedy Noil's Recruitment - IsaacBrown2
It has nothing to do with LSU putting WRs in the NFL. aTm had a top pick last season as well. It also had nothing to do with Quinn or Dupree. He is a very confident kid. And if he went to aTm in the spring and came away with the starting X position, that tells you he knows football, is willing to co...

re: Who is your top want that is not committed to LSU - IsaacBrown2
Leo Lewis and it ain't even close. I would kill for TJ and to have him with the other WRs. But we need LBs and we need star LBs. 2014 class was loaded at DB and WR. DL is stacked with young talent. The only player or position would be Tillery and OL. ...

re: TD Moton - IsaacBrown2
I was told by one of the National guys that LSU pull back on him and wanted to see him at a camp....same issue with the WR from last year. So the kid took the offer from Bama. I mean, it sucks but as a kid I am not sure I would not feel like they do. You have 2 A options(LSU A+, Bama A) and one ...

re: With Jarvis' not so great combine, how much will a great Pro Day improve stock? - IsaacBrown2
Also, because of all the rule changes, it is much easier to separate as a WR then it was years ago. Offenses are more specialized and Jarvis is going to play more slot than anything. None of Seattle's WRs are as good as Jarvis and they seem to get open. If Keenan Allen can go play with Phillip River...

re: With Jarvis' not so great combine, how much will a great Pro Day improve stock? - IsaacBrown2
Here was my entire post..... [i]I think he goes in the second no matter what. He is not fast and due to him not being 6'3-6'4, he would need to run in the 4.4s. But every team will look at his film and no way he gets out of the 2nd. I could see the Pats trading out of the 1st round with a ...

re: With Jarvis' not so great combine, how much will a great Pro Day improve stock? - IsaacBrown2
He got injured while running his 1st 40. That affected every other drill. But as some have said, he is not a super athlete, just a great FOOTBALL player. All the coaches and scouts recognize that more than people think. 2nd round is his floor and ceiling. He is superb as a WR and teams know that...
