I wouldn't be surprised if we were crushed but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if we gave them more trouble than they expect. I keep telling myself that at least we won't be running up the middle over and over and then just trying to throw a bomb down the sidelines every now and then. No matter what happens I would give some part of the left side of my body to see Guice break free into the secondary at least once and make one of their DBs whiff on a juke move.

I see an lsu team with their backs against the wall. They will either win or get crushed IMO. Gonna need full team effort

I hope we make them have to play a perfect game to beat the tigers I'm hoping it happens that way but I have a bad feeling

If this happens, our fanbase will revert back to "GD! O should've never been hired!"

What I don't know now can't hurt me. I'm enjoying Bama week and will do so unless something happens to make me feel otherwise.

It reminds me of last year (beating the mediocre Ole Miss Arkansas Missouri etc., observers believing we have made the turn). We beat an awful Florida team and an on the road to purgatory Ole Miss team. The Auburn win was good and surprising, but we let them off the hook last year. Orgeron could make a more of a case for his hiring with a good performance this weekend. What I expect is that LSU plays well for a half, wears down in the second half and gets run. I agree with you that beating terrible teams and Auburn doesn't justify the hiring, especially when you take a four touchdown beating to a mediocre State team and lose to Troy.

Whether one believes it is fair or not, we need to see something that Les Miles wouldn't give you to justify replacing him with someone unqualified. If O beats Bama, he can point to that, and it would be difficult to respond to.

On offense, we are basically worse in every category. I acknowledge it is year one. We are about 12 yards per game better passing. We are about that much worse running.

we couldn't give Et time to throw against ole piss, don't see it happening against bama, they'll be coming with ears penned back and swapping fresh meat in and out often, jet sweep is as predictable as the toss dive, could get ugly early, hoping for a miracle though

We lost to Auburn (that's what got Miles fired) and we lost to Florida on Guices' "zig-zag" in the backfield...we played 'Bama tough, by virtue of the 10-0 victory, which, for some reason the Tigers were not given credit for, it seemed. Now, this year, we are playing lots of young'uns and it's gonna be tough defense wise. We have enough experience on the "D" but can it last throughout the game...I don't feel victorious (esp playing in T-town)but I think we "suck it up" and play tough, but eventually wear down due to depth issues from the lack of quality OL and DL recruiting the past couple of years

Actually we have. Les' last game against Auburn was the last time LSU had the clock run out on them when they were on the verge of winning.

I really miss those exciting times.

We gained 125 yards on offense. That was the worst showing against Alabama all year. The FCS team was better.

You can slam Miles for many things, and I agree he was deficient managing time situations. His record against Auburn is probably the strongest thing on his resume, though.

I have no expectations, I do think we have a chance to win. I'd say 15%.

I would love nothing more than to put a beating on them, say 31-17.

Replace up the middle with jet sweeps and that's pretty much what we're doing now.

That also was one of, if not the worst showings of Bama's offense as well though. You have to give the incredible defensive performance credit for sure.

It has been rare since Saban has been at Alabama that LSU did not get enough out of its defense to win. You can't win any game that you score 0 points in. It was an embarrassment. If you don't have a title game where we got 97 total yards, it would be the worst offensive performance in 30 years, probably. Since we do, Miles will have to own that for a long time to come.

ETA: One correction, 2014 Arkansas was worse--123 yards. It was like Miles was trying not to score.
