Keep the faith, bro, and stay strongly positive. When you ask yourself if you can beat this thing, always answer in the positive.

A prayer sent your way.

As brutal as this board can be, its just as supportive to fellow humans, especially Tiger Fans and That means alot to me. Our former governor is 4 months into treatment with exact same diagnoses, her tumor is shrinking. If the cancer has not spread, I can have the eye removed or possibly treat it with a sewn in radiation plaque, I know this is a sports forum, and there are forums elsewhere for these matters, so I just wanted to say Thanks for your prayers and kind words and for Heavens Sake Geaux Tigers !!!!!

My prayers are with you and your family.
Keep your head up. Your attitude rubs off on your family. Stay strong and stay positive best you can for them. You're not in it alone. Trust me, I know. Your attitude is huge. Good Luck !!

Today is a very sad day for me. While at work I began to have trouble with vision in my right eye, I left work and went to ER, after many test and being sent to a specialist in Lafayette, I was diagnosed with Choroidal Melanoma, A rare form of Cancer in my right Eye. Oddly enough, the 1st thought that came to mind was " Am I gonna have to miss the game, or will I live long enough to see it" the prognosis is poor. This is not a pity thread. It really is that important to me to see this game.

God be with you my SEC brother. Prayers are sent to you from this end.

The good news is that it is hard for it to spread from within the eye. It is almost always contained and treatable.

You will see the game on Jan. 9th.

Me and mine will pray for you and yours.

I am not an MD but when I read your post I Googled a little and read. The Eye Cancer Network tries to lay it out in layman's terms.

I hope I am linking this correctly.

LINK

"It is important to note that as compared to like-sized malignant melanoma of the skin, patients are much more likely to survive a choroidal melanoma. This is because it is much more difficult for a choroidal melanoma to spread from (get out of) the eye to other parts of the body."

Keep a brother updated.

Tell the doc to cut that motherfricker out. You can live with a glass eye.
