The great thing is that once Saban retires or leaves for any reason, Alabama will never again be Alabama (as we have known it in the last 8 yrs or so).

You guys know I'm right.

Edit: sticky request for when real fans get out of their morning meetings and back to their computers; these sidewalk fans don't remember the dark years. As a proud alum of LSU, I'll say what needs to be said and will not contribute another dime to LSU until they show me they are a school I want to be proud of again. A school that winners go to.

Oh great, another year coming up of the same 8-win mediocrity. Nothing that has happened so far leads me to believe it will be different moving forward. And everyone seems to be fine with it. And that's the problem.

We should have given Jimbo whatever he wanted (and we are incredibly fortunate to be one of the few programs that have that ability).

Not a Miles fan, but this is stupid. I was underwhelmed when I heard we were talking to Jimbo. He's not leaps and bounds above Miles. He recruits in a talent rich state and has a national championship because of on-field talent, as opposed to his game time wizadry. He landed an incredibly talented kid to play the most important position on the field (and who happened to be the leader of the team in the locker room as a freshman). Jimbo is not "give whatever he wants" coaching talent.

LSU will never be Alabama. Never. Posting that they can be with this, or that coach, is dreaming. No coach with possibly the exception of Saban, and maybe not even then, can any coach raise LSU to the same tier as Alabama with Saban as coach. Not Meyer, not Kelly, not even Belichick can turn LSU into Alabama. Do yourselves a huge favor, and just deal with it

This is great. We will never beat Alabama, so give up and keep Coach Miles because he is a nice guy and whoever we get will lose to Alabama. What a loser mentality.

Apparently not considering the Tulane association.

I am confident that LSU will find a way to survive the loss of your $2.84.

Please don't try to include yourself in that equation.

Mediocrity? That would to be a goal for the abject losers that use that word so much.

So now what? More crying in your Natty Lite?

Remind me how many teams Jimbo has taken to the national championship game?

Well he won the won he was in. Miles had a two loss team that backed into the championship game in 2007. Remember the two losses to Arkansas and of all teams Kentucky. In 2011 he took the best team in the country to the superdome to have his arse handed to him because we had a frightened deer in the head lights qb that he left in the game for the entire time. Has anything changed? No.

What are you even talking about?

Only two of Miles' 11 seasons have ended up with only 8 wins, 2008 and 2014. Last season should be considered a 10-win season due to the game against IAA McNeese State being cancelled.

You say "the same 8-win mediocrity" as if it happens more than 18% of the time under Miles.

Since Miles has been at LSU there are exactly 3 P5 teams with more wins than LSU. That's not "mediocrity".

Coach Miles, you shouldn't post on this board. You are much to biased and you continue to do coach speak which no one on this board can figure out what you are trying to say.

You nailed it. Mentally tough. They didn't know their draft status, they weren't overly excited about winning the Orang bowl. Their goal was winning a National Championship. Until then, they can't relax. I don't think many people realize that.

Hey I'm with you man. LSU needs to hire the coach that has beaten Saban more than he has lost to him, Amirite?

We all want that guaranteed monster coach. Who is he? Who do you have in mind that will guarantee crushing Alabam?
We need your great winner mentality to tell us who it is.

I'll hang up an listen.

No, they kept him because his accomplishments as LSU coach put his LSU tenure in the top 25 tenures in the history of the sport.

Ah, meshing the retardation of the OT, Poliboard, and Rant all into one post. Well done.

Exactly. At first glance it reads like the rantings of a literal idiot, but a closer review reveals that OP is an extraordinarily perceptive meta-textual analysis of TD.com qua TD.com. A post-modern masterpiece, really.

Mediocrity starts with this post. Excellence is more than just winning a few football games that no one will remember ten years from now. Getting another coach doesn't guarantee those wins in any case.

Just the fact that you "Finally Realize the difference" after all these years speaks VOLUMES about you. I don't need to read anymore posts that you write.

Bottom line Miles is our coach, either support him or don't.....but stop being a Saban tit sucker!

where was FSU this year?

Getting their arse handed to them by Houston. Couldn't develop that all so needed NFL QB to win it all this year. But if he were here doing that, these Tards would want to hang him out to dry as well, because he didn't beat Saban and Bama won it all again.
