Jimbo's great warrior mentality lost to Georgia Tech, Clemson, & Houston this season.

If LSU is going to throw all their money at someone it should be Dabo.

I was all for Miles leaving. It didn't happen so I'm gonna support him. Hopefully with crossed fingers, he has seen the light.

How many times has this idea been stated on this board?

Rinse & Repeat.

Not true at all. LSU could be a giant of a football program with the right commitment to excellence demonstrated at the levels that matter from coaches to players to administration to the board to the boosters. As it is we are generally regarded as top tier. Some of you forget that three months ago we were headed to the playoffs and had the heisman front runner.

Jimbo isn't even close to the head coach that Saban is. I'm not sure he would be a big upgrade over Miles.

Remind me how many teams Jimbo has taken to the national championship game?

We should have given Jimbo whatever he wanted (and we are incredibly fortunate to be one of the few programs that have that ability).

Why does anyone think Jimbo Fisher is such an upgrade over Miles? He doesn't have to play an SEC west schedule. Fans were doing cartwheels when he left after 2006.

No one ever said keep Les because he's a nice guy. If LSU could get Jimbo, he would be here. But he's not. So we are willing to get rid of 1 of 3 coaches to win and play for another title. Just brilliant.

Trash post.

And as for Jimbo ...

We hear the constant complaints about Les underperforming against inferior talent, or the gripes about QB play ... well, for his part, Jimbo lost to a 3 win team earlier this year, and lost his bowl game to a team from the American conference, thanks in no small part to horrific QB play.

Alabama is some crazy fiscally responsible school and government system

Dude. I live in Alabama. To describe any part of the government on any level as fiscally responsible is a joke.
It might be marginally better than Louisiana, might be.

No we weren't. We had only played the soft part of our schedule. Look back at my post all through the 7-0 run, and see if I wasn't saying that we were a 3 or 4 loss team. We were never going to the playoff, and never had a chance. Even Miss. St. was ranked #1 a couple years ago during their 7-0 run.

The difference is in the recruiting. Yes they have a win at all costs mentality but I heard the other night bama had 43 under armour AA's to Clemson's 8. Not all pan out but most do. Hard to overcome that but they almost did. LSU has more than Clemson but not near as many. Better players typically win the game.

"Alabama's a warrior...."

Stfu you butthurt lameass bi***.

Saban is best coach in college football history. We were lucky to get him for a natty, and follow him up with another natty winning coach.

How many natty's you think other great coaches have? Mostly 1 or 2. Spurrier had 1 natty EVER, and did a full 14 years with the gators b4 the NFL.

Lsu nega tigers are the most butthurt losers.

Be grateful we got 2 nattys loser.

Dont let bama's accomplishments make it meaningless for you. What we are seeing with nick saban is the best ever in college coaching - 6 natties in a small amount of time proves it. But we are still very lucky as a fan base.

hey Poncho, this statement is wrong as hell and an unabashed attempt as furthering your agenda.

quote:

To winners, it reeks of the stench of mediocrity, and that's exactly what LSU will get with Miles.

Miles has won the SEC twice and won a spot in the NC game, winning one national championship. you want to ignore that when you call him a non-winner but any fool can tell you are spinning your take w/o using facts.

quote:

We could have had Jimbo, but blew it.

once again, you don't know what the hell you're talking about. it is the understanding of most intelligent, mature and objective people that it was Jimbo that backed out.

also, there are many people that believe that Jimbo is no better than Miles (overall). yes, he won a NC but that's pretty much it. he's good but not better.

with the exception of 2011, Miles has had a mediocre 5 year period and it seemed he couldn't produce an offense worthy of championships. the was attributable mostly to bad defenses in two years and bad offenses in all but 2013.

the man has been given another chance. that is a FACT. you, and others that keep spilling out the same ole, same ole mantra about how you hate him doesn't do any good for anybody, especially LSU.

this board would be much better off without you posting. you are very much dragging down the average intelligence level of the board and it is obvious you are an idiot.
