Edit: sticky request for when real fans get out of their morning meetings and back to their computers; these sidewalk fans don't remember the dark years. As a proud alum of LSU, I'll say what needs to be said and will not contribute another dime to LSU until they show me they are a school I want to be proud of again. A school that winners go to.

This thread proves that there are some pitiful excuses for fans in the LSU fan base who can pop off about this or that but would 'pee in their pants' if put in the same situation

This is pathetic. The most embarrassing thing for me is knowing gumps will come to this site read this drivel and think this represents the whole damn fan base. Get a hold of yourself damn it man.

I'm sure LSU will miss your 2nd dime.

Beating Alabama isn't the point I was making. Hell Ole Miss beats them, but they aren't on the same level as Alabama, they won't ever be. It wasn't simply beating them I was referring to. It is the continuing rate of success they have there. What is normal at Alabama is a flash in the pan here. LSU is, has, and will always be, with rare exception a perennial 2-3 loss team. No matter who the coach is. You are foolish to believe otherwise.

A bunch of condescending crap about not settling for mediocracy in your life and saying LSU. The people at LSU want to win championships as much as anybody. Alabama has just been better. The coaches and players give it everything they have and don't go out there to lose. If you feel this way, then find another program to support. Please don't ask for tickets if LSU does make the playoffs in the future because you don't deserve them.

I am sure if you were put in the position as a player or a coach, you would 'pee all over yourself'

Sounds as though you are not a LSU fan. Thanks for your comment and continue to pull for Saban and Alabama. LSU faithful you are NOT!

First if by warrior mentality you mean opening up the private check books and skirting the NCAA rules to effectively buy players from around the country as Saban did when he got to Alabama , then yes, LSU does not have that mentality.

Secondly, paying out 25 million on the front end to get a new coach is probably the height of financial stupidity. There was never any true indication from either Jimbo or Patterson that they were looking for a new job. Alexander was the sane person in all of that foolishness, Aleva was living in fantasy land and being pushed by a drunk booster from Shreveport.

The truth is, LSU had some glaring weaknesses this year and they got exposed.

Shut UP Poocho. We got 2 NC since 2000, the gumps now have 4, only because of Satan. LSU doesn't have to take a back seat to anyone. Let's see what CLM can do this year (which IMO its at the minimum should be a SEC championship & playoff game/games, before we start worrying about changing the coach again. Everybody talking about missing out on Jimbo, What about Freeze, or Dabo? Please we got what we got, lets get behind this 2016 team, which we all believe SHOULD be the year. Just think, 3 NC's since 2000, puts us right on the inbred gumps tail.

Bama doesn't seem to struggle with it.

This is ridiculous. If you didn't graduate from LSU, pay thousands of dollars to attend, and deserve to have your school hire a coach that had a win at all costs mentality, then go root for Arkansas.

I refuse to play nice anymore. I'm not afraid to call people out who pull the strings when they have nothing invested in my school other than we pay them. Their loyalty is to the highest bidder.

Run an athletic department like Bama or go home. If you don't want to win it all, then I don't want to have anything to do with you.

Thumbs down, sure from the sidewalk fans. But the majority of real fans know I'm correct.

Dude. I live in Alabama. To describe any part of the government on any level as fiscally responsible is a joke.
It might be marginally better than Louisiana, might be.

My statement is complete and total sarcasm. I am trying to wrap my brain around why both the academics and athletic sides at LSU are short changed financially and kept from being better. They should be on par with Bama but they are not. Bama's politicians seem to understand the value of their flagship program but La politicians are holding theirs back. So, when Bama spends 7 Million a year on their coach, no one sneezes.
