we went up 21-0 and we put it on cruize control. They are young and very talented we will be fine.

You pulled the "I am concerned about the defense as anybody" routine and just dropped the mic and walked offstage. It was brilliant.

Now, you go explain yourself and all the mystery is gone.

I kinda see what you're saying. Prolific offenses rarely have the kind of brick wall defenses that we've had the last few years. It has to do with the flow of the game and the fact that your defense stays on the field longer because your offense scores so much.

I am not concerned at all. All we heard during the offseason was that the offense would have carry the load for awhile. Its unfolding just as expected. Have some faith in the Chief.

Overall the defenses are weak in the SEC this year . Hell bama gave up 2 sets of teeth today to Johnny .

Bama fwiw IMO the past 2 games have won on turnovers and special teams . Yes they are part of the game but bama is not exactly winning playing bama football

Our starters aren't giving up shite. We have already played a number of younger guys.

I'm satisfied. It can get better, but I'm happy with where we are.

The only alarming thing I've found is the lack of forced turnovers. There's been a number of instances where we have a guy that was in perfect position, just unable to make the play. Need to make those plays going forward.

Chief is being very proactive playing a lot of the younger players prepping them to rotate them for the big games ie bama, and Georgia . We get another tune up til we have to face a Georgia . The way our offense is playing our D is not bailing our asses out like it has been since Chavis has arrived

My real concern is takeaways by playmakers(who, are they?) Or negative plays. I could not care less about total,yards/game, I care about with our offense scoring so fast, getting our defense off the field. I

Consider who we are playing . We will be sky high for the big games . It's like 2am in the bar and the only thing left you are forced to frick are fat midgets . Not exactly exciting.

I think the cocern here is that we play the likes of bama, and aTm so when teams like Kent, and UAB sustain long drives and score against us we freak and think wow if they can do this what will the good teams do. Does anyone know how many reserves we had on the field when they put there longest drive together and scored?

My concerns about the defense is that, thus far, teams have been able to string several drives a game on us. This used to not be the case with an LSU defense, and certainly we'd be shutting down teams of this caliber (cupcakes). We face some serious offenses in the games ahead.

What I've seen is a slow but steady progression, and that makes me feel better. Seems like the cutback issue of the first 2 games was better contained tonight. Looks like the linebacker issues might be sorting out.

There still are issues in the secondary, though. Collins is still getting lost at times, and so are the safeties.

I think the defense will grow as the season progresses, I think physically the talent is there. But against teams like Georgia and A&M, we're still likely going to need to get 40 pts to win. Luckily, I really believe we will get those points.

I watched most of the Bama-A&M game. Was surprised that Bama didn't try and control the pace of the game more which I think they could have. I think we'll try to.
