In a strange way, the scheme suited welter versus one that relys on speed and instinct. I do think he was making good calls for the defense and with aTms style of play good chess play > battleship

I will say, if Jones could wrap his head around a playbook, he would be damned impressive. That stretch play reaction was brilliant.

Welter didn't stand around and watch as much as he did against Bama. That's the extent of the praise I'll give him.

especially considering the play was run to Welter's side, who never even got off his block

I'm no Welter fan boy but I saw him get after Manziel and whiff a couple times allowing someone else to stop him for little to no gain

His lack of quickness actually made it hard for Manziel to fake him out.

Welter manages to find blocks where none are intended.

Yesterday when he busted free on that blitz he seemed more confused that he got through.

He's slow and knows it. He stops pursuing once he gets burnt on the edge.

Its pretty pathetic when you get a thread to applaud you not even coming close to getting a sack on an unblocked blitz. But, Welter was white again yesterday so thats enough for defensive MVP for most rantards.

So mad

He was very well spoken.
No reason to get all frustrated and angry for another poster making a factual observation.

You two little bitches allow me to make y'all so angry, both of you took the time to write my name on your little profile.

I love it..

Welter is never going to be Kevin Minter or Bradie James or Kelvin Sheppard but the guy plays hard, never complains, and never calls out teammates like Jalen Mills. Plus he gives kudos to guys who fill in for him. He's a great example of what a Tiger should be regardless of talent or place on the depth chart.

I think he played he played okay at times. Then there were other times when gets driven off the field after contact. He definitely needs to get stronger and faster.
