Get in the NFL, play through the first contract, and get paid with the second. The newest CBA forces the hand of many more juniors who are rated at 2-3 round.

Exactly.

Do y'all think we should have been a better football team with that many nfl ready players?

10 players leaving early for nfl is unheard of.

Why people aren't more alarmed about this is weird to say least.

Everyone except lost on and Simon either had the season or the hype warranted to enter the draft. Loston never really seemed to "buy in" he was passed on the depth chart several times. Simon is one I can't really figure. Maybe the money issue is enough for him.

Some of you alarm people are just tring to get in a shot on the coaches. According to them they are leaving b/c they hate miles when in reality there are not many surprises in the list.

Montgomery, Mingo, reid were always going after this year

Logan was a likely to go with a decent year

Minter played himself to going. And it deserving and should go

Simon shouldn't be a surprise either CB positions almost always leave early. It's the best position to get drafted. NFL teams love alot of corners.

Ware not surprised with our depth

And wing just got suspended and just had a kid he would be the only surprise so far

All that 10 win bullshite is a big smoke screen. Let’s face it, LSU won one game this year, and that against S.C. In between were the usual CupCakes. Against Auburn, barely won. Underdogs to Fla. and Alabama, could have won but lost due to poor QB play and ill-advised play-calling. Against Clemson, just another poor display of 3rd inefficiency, horrible QB play, and horrific play callings.

Forgetting A&M?

Using your logic almost every team in the nation only won 1 game. Alabama only beat LSU, A&M only beat Alabama, UGA only beat South Carolina, blah, blah, blah.

We had a lot go wrong this season...

MVP got kicked off the team just before the season started.

Best Offensive lineman goes out for the season early.

The other star lineman vanishes from the team for personal reasons in the middle of the season.

Our best RB out for the season early

It's the QB's first year as a starter at LSU and it showed.

And on top of all this, mistakes were made in big games.

No one blew LSU out and we were in every game.

Just have to hope Lady Luck is on our side next season.

Simon going pro off his measurables and not his production on the field. Reid didn't have a good season but is going pro off his performance last year, rep, and measurables. Logan is where Brockers was last year; we all new the DEs were going pro. Minter could go higher if he waits a year, but he is a top 3 ILB in the country and might not want to risk injury.

Wing, Ware, & Simon have been suspended before and maybe they want to get out before/in case they have a situation like TM7 had this year.

Ware knows he'll get limited snaps next year anyway. Wing and Ware aren't critical losses.

Also we all know our team wasn't hyped/excited to be in the chicken bowl...it is a big drop off in bowl prestige to go from Sugar if UF loses to FSU (as many expected with UF's offense) to Cotton if UT is in that bowl....to Chicken behind 2 teams you beat head to head. With 6 10 win teams, one SEC team was going there. We were the odd man out after the SEC protected UGA, OU fell into the Cotton, and Outback was choosing between LSU & USC. Apparently more of our players were planning to declare than the fanbase expected, so I'm sure that was a distraction too.

UF loss makes sense with the patchwork o-line on the road. But you have to beat Bama at home.

Possibly, however inexperience at key positions hurt us thoroughly the season.

We saw flashes of what kind of team we could have been when we weren't making youthful mistakes.

Last four games:

Mississippi State
Ole Miss
Arkansas
Clemson

Given that the Mississippi games followed Bama, I don't see an issue. Arkansas did not drive the ball. Clemson had 100 offensive plays.

The defense showed the potential against SC and Bama. The offensive non production led to some of the other games ineffectiveness.

The offense hung the defense out to dry in the Arkansas and Clemson games.

Ole Miss actually has very good offense.

Miss St was right after Bama so the D gets a little bit of a pass.

i stand corrected, we won 2 games, not 10. Alabama beat the shite out of their CupCakes. But your facts are wrong on Georgia. S.C beat Georgia 35-0.

Here’s my point. All this shite with 10 win season is a big lie. Miles gets way-too-much-credit for all the CupCake wins. He either gets his offense and QB situation straight or next year looks to be a disaster. He wont have the great defensive players to pull his arse out like they have for 2 years.

Quick, tell me the last time you saw 9 underclassmen declare early

It's just almost unheard of

Something is up

Stop making It into something it's not. It was always a good possibility the defensive guys were leaving. Ware and wing are not big loses. And listen hasn't decided

I'm not

9 underclassmen leaving off of a team that left a lot on the table is pretty odd

I could see if we just won a championship

Like what?

Montgomery was a guy who could have came out last year.
Mingo, Reid, and Logan were almost certainties to leave before the season happened.
Ware reached his draft ceiling and would lose playing time next year.
Minter had an insane year.
So only Simon and Wing are questionable and they both had rumored outside issues that influenced their decisions.
