How was LSU not a better team with 10+ juniors declaring for the draft?

That much talent on the field and the offense and defense both left plenty to be desired.

I think you know what responses you're going to hear with this one.

Most of the departures are on D. There was nothing wrong with that side.

TM7 would have made an interception on the final drive of the Bama game and we would have beat GA again and we should be playing ND tomorrow night.

3 DBs declaring. The secondary could be described as bad the last third of the season.

Defensive players bro, no reason to stay.

Just think about if everyone on our defense stayed another year. They would be talented and heavily seasoned. This year they were talented but only mildy seasoned.

10 players leaving early for nfl is unheard of.

Why people aren't more alarmed about this is weird to say least.

Weak spots at o-line, cb, and OLB. teams took advantage of that.

Why should we be alarmed about good players declaring for draft?

Well, they're all rated pretty high.

Get in the NFL, play through the first contract, and get paid with the second. The newest CBA forces the hand of many more juniors who are rated at 2-3 round.

There's nothing to be alarmed about. They have the talent to leave early and most of them wouldn't be able to improve their draft stock by staying. The alarming thing is how well we recruit and develop on defense, and how stacked we are at RB.

How does LSU have 4 first round draft picks off that nasty 2006 team not even win the SEC West??

What is there to be alarmed about?

By most accounts all those players declaring love Les and their time at LSU. I'll take the opposite approach and say Les has done a great job getting those guys ready for the NFL so they can declare early.

All that 10 win bullshite is a big smoke screen. Let’s face it, LSU won one game this year, and that against S.C. In between were the usual CupCakes. Against Auburn, barely won. Underdogs to Fla. and Alabama, could have won but lost due to poor QB play and ill-advised play-calling. Against Clemson, just another poor display of 3rd inefficiency, horrible QB play, and horrific play callings.

You saying LSU lost the Bama game due to poor QB play?

Clemson, Bama scored on last possession and Miss. State, Ole Miss, Arkansas moved the ball on us at will.

I think the individuals are better than the sum of their parts. And that is not good.
