Considering the NFL success and in 2013 there was at least 900 more yds of offense than any year since 2009, how long until we see any equally talented group?

Pretty damn prolific

if memory serves me, ONLY SEC EVER for combined:
3k yard passer
1k yard rusher
2 1k yard receivers

That's going to be every season once Cam can get these QBs to learn his system.

Is this the same o-line that fell flat against Ole Miss and QUIT on Mett against Bama?????

Not rare. As long as we have an NFL starting QB, the NFL leader in yards per reception, a top 5 NFL back in yards per carry, another starting NFL WR, and a couple starting NFL lineman we will be at least a top 20 offense. So no biggie

Because of how talented that offense was, in my years of watching LSU football (since 2000), that team underachieved the most.

Great skill guys for sure. With that talent it should be expected. With the talent LSU has that should be the standard yearly. To throw for 3,000 yards in a 12 game regular season that's only 250 yards a game, easily doable. To rush for 1,000 in 12 games that's only 83 yards a game, again easily doable. Now the 2 WR's with a 1,000 a piece is tough because those 2 guys were the only guys on the field targeted because most of the yards came in 2 wide out sets. If LSU ever spread the field with more regularity it could happen regularly with the freaks we have at WR.

The defense was not very good

People look at the offense and wonder how did we not win a NC it's because they didnt see the defense.

Statistically, it was arguably the best offense we've ever had. So I guess that's pretty rare...

Actually since 2007.

2013 - 5893 yards
2007 - 6152 yards

259 more yards, but the 2007 team ran off 205 more plays. We also scored 60 TDs on offense in 2013 to 64 TDS in 2007.

The 2013 offense was better in yards per play, plays per TD, and 3rd down conversion percentage, than any other LSU offense this century. The 2013 offense was possibly the most explosive, efficient, and potent offense in LSU history.

2001
YPP - 6.27
PPTD - 18.09
3rd % - 51%

2003
YPP - 5.89
PPTD - 18.40
3rd % - 42%

2006
YPP - 6.6
PPTD - 14.87
3rd % - 48%

2007
YPP - 5.83
PPTD - 16.46
3rd % - 47%

2013
YPP - 6.94
PPTD - 14.15
3rd % - 57%

If only we had had a defense to match it.

from a talent standpoint, I think we actually have all the pieces to pull off comparable numbers already on the roster (note here that I'm big on Harris' potential as a QB). comparable numbers as a group from the WRs and RBs, not necessarily two 1000-yd WRs and a 1400-yd RB.

from an actual productivity standpoint, if the lightbulb comes on for one of the QBs this year and he's able to build on that next offseason, I don't think an offensive explosion in 2016 is far-fetched.

You have an incredibly loaded group here now, other than QB.

That offense was dynamite, and we still lost 3 conference games.

J.Hill, OBJ, Mett, Landry, and La'el Collins.. I think we underachieved.
