Does anyone else think it would be funny if Mizzou beat A&M in 2 weeks?

---texas is a state of 36 million people. louisiana has what one/seventh of that. 36 million viewers > 5 million. that is teas vs louisiana alone.---

And Texas has University of Texas, TCU, Texas Tech, Baylor, SMU, Houston, and a slew of other schools whose fans all hate A&M. Outside of Tulane fans, most in Louisiana still cheer for LSU

Yep and it also has 5 schools in a major BCS conference and 3 other recognizable FBS schools.

Really? I see LSU gear EVERYWHERE when I travel. I have seen it in every state I have travled to and frequently visible LSU fans outnumber visible fans of the local university.

Nope, not if both win out. BCS will take the "bigger name" and head-to-head winner. LSU legitimately a "big boy" now.

Agree but there's still a chance that they want the team with the heisman candidate on it.

I dont know where all the A&M being more marketable and will definitely get taken by the Fiesta Bowl over LSU talk is coming from anyway.

The only person I have seen so far that put A&M in a BCS bowl over LSU is Brad Edwards.

Even Mark Schlabach at ESPN has us in the Fiesta, along with CBS, the Orlando Centinel, Matt Murschel and a guy from Bleacher Report. Everything I am seeing indicates LSU would get the nod over A&M and thats before LSU plays two SEC games while A&M plays Sam Houston State and frickin Missouri.

You'll see their new hype die out while they play their last two games and our hype will continue to grow as we watch our QB turning into the game changer we all thought it was. LSU gets the nod.

When TAMU can consistently pull high ratings against other teams not named Bama or LSU then we can talk.

...in case you have not noticed, texas a&m and johnnie football are the hottest topic on espn and other sports tv shows. so, right now they are pulling higher ratings than bama, and especially lsu. the lsu national talk is near zilch right now. and right now is what counts 100%...all other news about what lsu did back when may as well be ancient history. like i said, go outside of little ole' louisiana, and all the talk is a&m and Johnnie. no one is talking about lsu.

i've been watching espn all day, and every show from bcs countdown to the all the rest, are giving more air time to a&m and Johnnie Football than any other team in the nation by a LARGE margin.

some lsu fans need to wipe the tiger poo out of their eyes so they can see what is actually hgappening on the national stage.

...and lsu can thank alabama for that.

It's Monday after they beat Bama, of course they would be all over espn today. You're an idiot and your logic is flawed. What ever makes you feel better I guess.

Only dropping to 7th nationally after their second loss says they did not. JFF does not equal Mingo, Montgomery, Minter, Hill, and Mettenberger. Marketing is about draw and selling ad buys. Draw is predicated by how many names you can sell. JFF is one. LSU is many.

Did that work for RGIII last year? What were the ratings for the game he played in compared to LSU in the Cotton Bowl two years ago?

Well a couple of the ESPN gurus are penciling Texas A&M in the fiesta now. Forget Florida only has 1 loss, not even mentioned. LSU was also left out of the conversation. Just like they shoved Alabama down our throats last year, the campaign has begun and they are the only voices the public gets to hear.

Phil Steele has LSU against Oklahoma as an At-Large BCS bid to the Fiesta Bowl. I wonder if that holds up? Looks like someone didn't get the ESPN memo.
