Trent was just never a good fit here. He's a west coast guy, no So.LA recruiting ties.

Wasn't ever willing to kiss Collis Temple's ...errr....ring, either.

The first two would have us on probation with a quickness and the last one would never come here.

Scott Drew is literally one of the worst basketball coaches in the country.

He can recruit, probably illegally. That's it.

No thanks.

Me too. How does the rule effect his eligibility for next season? Doesn't he have to sit two years?

Yea, I don't think Pearl is in play this time. Too bad.

Tennessee may end up 2nd in the league.

Yeah, but he did go to seven in nine years at Winthrop before going to WSU. And he's won the NIT at WSU.

ETA: and his record has improved every year at Witchita St.

I am in agreement here. TJ seems to be a good guy and I do believe he is a good coach, but its just not working. IMO what LSU needs is a young Dale Brown type. Someone who will sell the program and what LSU basketball can be. Dale Brown did this literally cris crossing the state handing out purple and gold basketball nets. The story goes that he would see a hoop in a yard and would stop and knock on the door, introduce himself and give them a net. Not saying that the coach needs to do that, but he needs to bring attention to the program in a positive way. Get ppl curious in the team again. The ppl that say LSU fans don't care couldn't be more wrong. LSU fans have just become appathetic because the team has been bad for so long except for a rare good year.

9 assistants went on to a head coaching job. 2 still coach. 6 coached over 9 years. 1 will be a head coach again at a top school. 1 coached 8 years and one 6. Not sure how much failure he has.

There's choking levels of negativity surrounding football with our dumbass fans, and we played in the god damn national championship game a few months ago.

There are reasons to get rid of Trent but that isn't one. Hell we'd never keep a coach more than a year with our drooling retard fanbase.

What isn't one? 11-20, 11-20, then this season's collapse? His inability to recruit and his failed recruiting strategy? Poor offensive execution and consistently bad play in the 2nd half?
