I met a Big XII official about two weeks ago and in the referee world, SEC officiating is the laughing stock of their profession. The dude seriously LOL'd IRL!

Arkansas State fans probably have a slightly different opinion of Big XII officials.

That fans (and I'm sure a few coaches) can have a discussion about it, tells you all that needs to be said about SEC refs.

It's time for the NCAA to take over the ref business...disallow any conf associations, make it a real, live job with a salary, hire the best and make them accountable. The org makes enough money to accomplish this.

I couldn't agree more! The SEC's integrity in officiating is really losing ground. Seive's jackass antics are only fueling the anger over the situation, and yeah, it does start to make one wonder ....

I do believe Rogers Redding as well as Mike Slive should resign both their positions at the SEC office.

As I was jumping up and down over PP int. (because BOTH feet were in bounds) a friend reminded me that the line was 7 1/2 - 9 points and Bama only led by 6 at that point. He said there was NO WAY they would allow the INT.
He was right.

And I should have known better.

Bama will get worked by UFs D, if not slip against Allbarn.

They won't be allowed to slip against anyone; especially not Auburn. Florida and Alabama getting to the SECCG undefeated is already a done deal.

Best way to correct this is have a boycott by the other 10 teams and around the country of not watching the SEC championship game. Ratings is what its all about which produces revenue.

Things in officiating would change quick if this ever happened.

+1

If you really want to send a message, call Slive and tell him you aren't watching any more SEC games and that you're going to call every one of its advertisers and tell them you will boycott them until they stop advertising with the SEC.

Money is all they understand or care about.

Yes.. If they can keep one or more SEC teams at the top, it's a huge revenue generator.

Honestly, his job should be to seriously evaluate (and in some cases investigate) blatantly blown calls. If there are no repercussions for cut-and-dry, reviewed plays being called incorrectly, then yes he should lose his job.

Hell, yes. He's not doing his job to insure the refs are the very best. Oh, maybe he is doing that to insure they are the very best at cheating. Anyway, him and the bulk of the refs in this conference need to go. Too much shite happening this year and the conference looking very bad.

Anyone who doesn't think fla and bama are going to get the close calls to make sure that one of them gets into the bcs nc game is very naive. It's all about the green now. Let's face it.

Yes and that's just a start. Slive needs to go as well. Get the SEC office the hell out of Alabama and install officials with a history of credibility. Our conference is quickly becoming a joke. Tell me when the last time was that an ENTIRE conference has come under such national media scrutiny for almost an entire season for issues such as these. Most of the time it's a single school that gets into trouble, this time it's our conference officials and many schools! Very sad and it's past time for Slive and Redding to go.
