I was researching something in the UGA media guide and found Herschel's game-by-game stats. Here are his att./yards his sophomore and junior seasons. I thought it was interesting.

41-265 vs. Ole Miss
39-188 vs. Vandy
33-129 vs. UK
23-112 vs. Temple
47-192 vs. UF
37-165 vs. Auburn
36-225 at Ga. Tech

1982
11-20 vs. Clemson
31-124 vs. BYU
32-143 vs. south carolina
39-215 vs. Miss. St.
24-159 vs. Ole Miss
38-172 vs. Vandy

Could you imagine the outrage we would get it we gave him 47 carries in a game?

He never had more than 3 200 yard games in a season, and yet, when Leonard doesn't go over 200, the reaction is "well, not one of his better games." Ridiculous. Leonard had 3 in a row!!!! He'll do it at least once or twice more this season.

LF = LESS touches, equal or GREATER yards...

As if we didn't know it already, we are truly witnesses to GREATNESS.

and LF's career high is 31 carries in a game?

Walker surpassed that in all but 6 games

The Heisman should really be remade to look like Leonard Fournette.

Don't know if it was because of our local paper or that I got only one channel back then but don't remember hearing anything from his camp.

Leonard is the man & the best running back I have seen in college since Adrian Peterson.

One thing that stands out to me is there are no cupcake/lower division teams in Herschel's games.

Not during this year or next.

5 for 9 yards against Arkansas last year.

At least we got it out of the way his freshman year

All I can see is that Herschel Walker never had to face an LSU defense.

LF is great but no one is going to have the season Barry Sanders had in 1988

Miami, Ohio 18-178
Texas A&M 20-157
Tulsa 33-304
Colorado 24-174
Nebraska 35-189
Missouri 25-154
Kansas State 37-320
Oklahoma 39-215
Kansas 37-312
Iowa State 32-293
Texas Tech 44-332

Regular season total: 344-2628

Wyoming 29-222

Overall season total: 373-2850

Must have been very happy to play against those defenses.

Not that game, but in the Sugar Bowl UGA won against ND for the national championship, Buck Belue (UGA QB) was 1/12 for 7 yards.
