Help me understand what will be different about this game in Tiger Stadium...

I can’t follow all of these threads, so in one place, tell me what will be different about the game this weekend?
1. We will be wearing purple
2. Tickets are GA, not regular season tickets (ticket holders first choice, and east upper is out)
3. Our band will play their fight songs at least once (pretty cool)
4. You can bring 1 water bottle
5. Dan Borne is gone and Bill Franques will be on the PA
6. USCe is having a “white out” game (some LSU fans are joining)
Now my questions:
7. Are we the visiting team? (I assume so)
8. Are we on our sideline?
9. Are we in our own lockerroom? (This would be silly to change IMO)
I am sure most of this has been posted, but I haven't found it all.

Yes to all 3

We are in our own sideline and locker room and I assume we will get to pick the coin toss.

Yes, yes, and yes to 7,8,9.

Not exactly accurate. Seats are assigned. Season ticket holders outside of the Stadium Club were not guaranteed their season ticket seats.

Can someone explain why expected attendance is so low?
Does LSU have that many people that travel long distances to attend games?
If demand exists, then they would open up the upper decks so that is not the reason.

I know I make my Fall plans around home football games. I'm sure a lot of people are on vacations, etc. and were planning to watch on TV.
Also, they might have trouble getting all the personnel to work in the stadium they normally have on short notice, due to the same reason, so they cut-off the uppers to help with that.
And South Carolina can't be traveling well.
And people who bought home season tickets might not want to throw down more cash for another game they didn't budget for. Imagine a family of 5 that hits all the home games, but would have to throw out $375 on just tickets for this (and then every other expense like concessions, parking, etc.).

Vacations seems plausible for a percentage.
USC would have been about 10% of the crowd so even if they don't show up it would still put us around 90k of LSU fans on an average game. Fair point.
Mcneese refund offsets this additional game, correct? Budget neutral.

I guess that's fair, but its still short notice for plans and money.

Also, this isn't exact science. We will see the actual demand when the general public is allowed to buy tickets. Hopefully it fills up more than they are expecting.

1. I suspect a lot of people, including Dan Borne, already made other plans for the weekend assuming it was a road game.
2. If you're from South LA, getting to and from the game the same day shouldn't be an issue. It's much more difficult for those from N. La. and beyond.
3. The closing of the upper-decks is for staffing purposes. LSU had to get all of the people who work the games ready to go on short notice. I'm sure LSU won't be a full capacity as they would for a scheduled home game. They will open the upper-decks if the demand is great enough. They just want to make sure it is first, before calling in more support staff.

9. Are we in our own lockerroom?

This and another factor is that some people, including me, are on rotational 24-hour call for work. I always adjust my normal rotation to account for the home game schedule.

Traffic will be a complete cluster frick.
Oh sorry missed that part.

That was my rationale for justifying the additional expense, although I didn't need much of an excuse.
