Yes.

Makes sense to me...but i have to believe Lee and or Jefferson gets alot of pt especially in the first 4 or 5 games. You have to have all these guys getting game reps in case of injuries.
But I do think Hatch is the guy right now.

From a guy thats inside the program, "Its Lee's job to win or lose, if he wants it he's got it."

May be some level of bias but the degree of love has definitely increased and this is good pub over all.

Hatch is probably the smartest of our QBs, He went to Harvard after all! He will probably make the best decisions and not turn over the ball a lot. That is what we need this year, someone who does not LOSE the game for us. If only Jamarcus Russell was smarter with his decisions when he QBed! We could have another title under our belt!

Miles to Michigan per ESPN

That's what I got out of the press conference today with Miles. Those comments about smart, not turning the ball over/not making mistakes (really emphasized that) sounded like Hatch is in the lead for the QB job. He brings a little more to the table as far as duel-threat as well over Lee. May not be as talented overall, but brings a safer, more open game for us to start out the year.

That means our QB is JL

I've still got all my eligibility, but may not be as tall as tiger fans are used to

I'm sure you will do your best, son....I am sure you will do your best

I had mentioned the other day that I talked to Bobby Hebert and he feels that Hatch will start. From what the players are telling him, Lee was still way to nervous in the huddle and such during spring scrimmages.
Lee has more talent and will probably take over the team by mid year, but I think Les will go with the safe bet to start.

Why I think Hatch will start:
1. He had a better spring practice (13 of 17 vs. 7 of 14) than Lee.
2. He has at least a little game experience.
3. He has more time in Crowton's system than Lee.
4. He's 22 y.o. due to taking his Mormon mission so he's probably a little more mature because of this (no slam on Lee btw who's 19).
5. He's a better runner so gives the O more options.
6. Everyone agrees he's smart.
As long as he can "take care of the ball" (which is obviously important to Les) he should do well. All that being said, if Lee beats him out, I think that says a lot for Lee. Either way, I like how this team is shaping up.

The only thing holding Lee back is his presence in the pocket and in the hudle. It will come with experience. We know he can make all the throws and has a slightly stronger arm than Hatch.
The only thing holding Jefferson back is his knowledge of the playbook.
Hatch's maturity is a big advantage.
