This is a major problem... Who the hell wishes their team loses?

I was not happy how we won, but we won.

I had the opposite experience. I was sitting in the opposite endzone of the action. As soon as the ball was snapped over Jefferson's head my group got up to leave...the game was surely over. As we got twenty feet into the tunnel you could here rumblings...then cheering erupted. Still didn't know what the frick was going on. All we knew is we had a another play. TD...Tiger win. Me and my friends still talk about that game to this day.

See the UTk game in 2010, Troy 2008 and a few others and how folks reacted to them are a case positive of different mentalities. IMHO (and assuming probably yours) a win is a win regardless who it is against or how it came about. A sloppy win is always better than a moral victory/close loss any day in the universe. There are no frustrations after the last second ticks off and we are victorious. Before then there may be nervousness and frustration. But in the end.... A WIN IS ALWAYS A WIN!!!

It's funny how do nothing but call out people for being "miserable

There are a lot of "miserable" like people in this world and that naturally flows over to sports fans. With the amount of continual bitching that goes on here on every LSU subject there is, I don't see how that can be denied. Even with the last 16 yrs. being by far the finest continual period of success LSU football has EVER known, you wouldn't think so reading the stuff posted here.

I never use 04 for any reason other than to note the disconnect to reality some show between their worship for the LSU Nick and their displeasure with the LSU Miles. Often failing to note that the Miles period has come at a time when the SEC has been much stronger than it has EVER been before.

Another game that I though was absolutely miserable was against Dooley again in 09 against la tech and Lee was down rt awful. He didn't even want to be out there.

Lee embarrassed himself vs La Tech. Thank goodness the talent difference was wide and for our STs and Defense. I remember a pan TV shot of Miles, who was trying his best to maintain his composure while wincing. I thought that if he was not in public, in front of thousands and fans, he wanted to rip off his headset and smack Lee in the face. That is when I truly felt that unless JJ went down with injury or suspension Lee would never start again as a Tiger.

The thing that pisses me off about that victory is with Les not the team.
Les's total lack of clock management skill, no idea which offensive packages to run, offense being totally unprepared for a hectic end of game ( T Bob left out of that issue).
Etc etc etc. and Miles pulls a victory out of way past his arse. These victories just reinforce his to lack of attention to detail.

I am happy the team op won for the players. Miles deserves no credit!

I haven't read the whole thread, so I'm not sure if this ones been mentioned, but the Vanderbilt game, during which Cecil Collins broke his leg - pretty sure the score was 7-3 - gave me literally zero joys when it was over.

Anyone not happy with a win, no matter how sloppy the game was, is a complete POS. End of discussion.
Not quite yet. Interesting to note how the 10-Win Settlers never - and I mean NEVER - want to talk about the crippling effect the losses have on our year-end ranking and ensuring an appearance in Junior League bowl games year after year.

Miles is ultimately responsible for everything, but the confusion was on Crowton's subbing and it subsequently caused the UT participation foul.
I was more upset with 4 TOs and that the game had come to this point than the final 30 seconds.

I think TBob panicked when snapping the ball a little too early with 5 secs left, when 2 seconds on playclock is the norm. This still falls back on situational prep and staff.

So in a strange way LSU's total ineptness won the game. Not being sarcastic

Maybe getting a bit too cute.
I think it was an attempt to catch UT offguard going heavy to 3 WR, but some precious secs wasted with sub.
IMO, had TBob waited for QB call, it could've been LSU choice between TD and IP penalty.
Luckily OL was deemed to be set before snap or IP penalty never called.

I hope Miles wins and stays longer to continue making people like you so miserable that you can't enjoy the best 15 year stretch in program history.

There is no win that gives me no joy.

My favorite wins are the ones mentioned on the first page of this thread because those aren't games that merely give their posters no joy, but rather games that made faux-LSU fans absolutely miserable.

And not a one of them was better than the win over Aggy last season. I fricking love Les Miles and love watching his haters live their miserable lives.

still hate the dialogue after the LSU Tenn game. All that talk about how LSU got lucky, and very little blame to Tennessee for enough confusion to not only have 12 men on the field but 13. Hell, one of the CBS guys continuously calls LSU lucky while saying "I don't blame Derek Dooley, he went up against the luckiest coach in America." You don't blame a coach for having 13 guys on the field and not even knowing it?

What is really funny is that in their bowl game that year, Tennessee was presented with pretty much the same situation. I think they were playing North Carolina. Tennessee was leading by either 1 or 2 when UNC got a first down in field goal position. UNC quickly substituted before they ran a play to spike the ball. Because UNC had subbed, Tennessee would have been given the chance to do so as well. Reliving the LSU game, the Vols didn't, so the refs allowed UNC to snap the ball and spike it to stop the clock. UNC then won on a field goal. Had Tennessee substituted, the clock would have probably run out before the field goal.

So, learning their lesson from the LSU game cost Tenn their bowl game.

The one that jumps to mind for me is the 2001 game at Kentucky. I was living in Ohio at the time so I went. We won on a Rohan Davey TD to Michael Clayton with less than 20 seconds left. Kentucky wasn't that good, and we pretty much sucked all night.

I walked out of the stadium sour on Saban, telling my father-in-law, "this team won't win the West." I'm glad I was wrong.

2004 Vanderbilt may have already been mentioned. LSU D kept Cutler in check all night, and LSU ran for >6ypc and thus never aired it out at all en route to a snoozer of a 24-7 win. While a great example of how much control the team could impose on its opponents, there were no memorable plays, and the crowd was uncharacteristically chill for an SEC night game.
