LSU-Arkansas isn’t any more of a rivalry than LSU-Oklahoma. Arkansas is a school we’ve just had to play every year for the last 32 seasons. Doesn’t mean it’s a rivalry. We don’t have a rivalry with Mississippi State and we’ve played them more than anyone.

When you pair off traditional SEC rivals LSU takes what’s left. LSU does not have traditional rivals like the other teams.

You are naive dude. All those years in the mid 2000s meant nothing? Get real. It’s not heated like Florida or Bama but to say it’s the same as an opponent LSU has no conference games against is just ignorant.

Doesn't really matter what ESPN wants if this is the only option. Everyone else has a rival that week and this is what's left.

It’s a trophy game vs an opponent we’ve played 70 times compared to an opponent we’ve played 3 times.
It’s very strange that some LSU fans want to play OU on 11/30 instead of Arkansas. It doesn’t really make sense anyway you look at it

That “trophy” is a joke and was created by ark boosters to try and generate excitement for the game. The truth is that the ark game is the least exciting and anticipated SEC game for most LSU fans. Playing Oklahoma in the last week of the season would be the opposite of that.
