Right, but there is nothing logical about that. It’s not about exciting matchups.

I have to disagree. It's about $$$. OU-LSU would be a bigger draw.

Just like when Texas AM joined the conference, they replaced Arkansas because they were perceived to be a better draw.

It's also more likely that both OU and LSU will be in contention for a conference championship or CFP than Arkansas. This matters.

Not saying Arkansas will be replaced, just saying options will be considered.

It has nothing to do about $$.

A&M and Missouri joined & neither had a rival. So they made LSU-A&M instead of pairing them & Mizzou together.

LSU-OU will make $$ regardless of whether it’s on 10/19, 11/16, or 11/30.

If it’s about doing rivalries (like the other 8 SEC matchups on rivalry week), then LSU-Ark & OU-Mizzou is what makes the most sense.

More important date if playing for post season.

It matters

The fact that we are not playing Mississippi State speaks volumes. I believe we have played them more than any other team. Says a lot about what the conference thinks about rivalries.

It would be the 3rd or 4th best game that weekend.

Like I said, if that was the SEC’s concern then they wouldn’t have Tennessee playing Vandy or UGA playing GA Tech.

ETA: Not to mention OU already plays Bama on 11/23 if you want to talk about postseason implications being considered.

Some years it would be, other years it may be tops. Regardless, it's doubtful Arkansas would ever rate higher.

We simply disagree on what their priorities are for “rivalry week”.

Arkansas closes with Missouri on 11/30. OU plays Scar on 10/19.

Things could end badly for OU depending on how Arnold develops.

The SEC will throw them a bone with a bye week before the Bama/@LSU games to end the year, but Bama will be coming off Mercer and LSU off Vandy.

So you’re just speculating? You don’t have proof of Ark/Mizzou on 11/30 or OU/SC on 10/19?

LSU-Arkansas have played 70 times
OU-Missouri have played 96 times

LSU-OU have played 3 times
Arkansas-Missouri have played 16 times

You be the judge

1 aspect of a rivalry game is that it generates a lot of excitement on both sides. LSU/ark doesn’t come close to meeting that standard.
