I mean, people showing up for an lsu sporting event is a good thing....no?

I would hope for every LSU sport to sell out... This guy just started talking shite because the #2 gym team had their article in the newspaper run on page 13 while opening day baseball got first page. He's trying to make a point that isn't really there.

Choctaw shook sabans hand on 1/9 after the game. He also shook his hand this year at midfield.

It's beyond trying to be a good sport. It's lame. Did you give AJ some dap on 1/9?

baseball and football are two different animals. but i would've shaken his hand if he had tried.

Page 9

If it were page 13, he'd have 5 threads going and sent 3 emails to the Advocate instead of caving on the first reply (to the exact same thing other posters already told him)

Choctaw comes off as the typical redneck fan that wears his wal mart jersey, crocs, and camo hat to games

You might want to re-think that.

Gymnastics Shatters Attendance Record

by Jake Terry (@LSUjake), Associate SID

BATON ROUGE – For the second straight season the LSU gymnastics team broke the school record for average home attendance as the Tigers ranked No. 5 nationally in the GymInfo attendance rankings released Thursday.

An average of 5,633 fans attended each LSU home meet in the 2014 season, breaking the previous record of 5,353 set last season.

Five meets during the 2014 season rank in the Top 10 in LSU’s all-time attendance list. The Tigers’ meet against Alabama on Jan. 31 is the No. 2 most attended home meet in school history as 8,055 fans watched LSU beat the Crimson Tide, 197.650-196.825.

LSU’s first 198 in program history came in front of the fourth-largest home crowd as 7,018 fans saw the Tigers beat Missouri 198.050-194.825 on Feb. 28.

LSU also produced the most attended NCAA Regional when 5,915 fans watched the Tigers tally the highest score in the nation, a 198.325 to win the regional title. The attendance was nearly 1,000 larger than the second-highest figure of 4,954 at the NCAA Athens Regional hosted by Georgia.

Gymnasts are hotter.

But really, the Gym meets are exciting. I used to go in the 90's and they were very entertaining.

still

what the frick is the point of saying LSU gymnastics > baseball regardless of stats? A true fan supports both, not downs one by cheering another

ETA: I was going to attend a meet. Now I am not because of you Tigersbb. Congrats on not helping gymnastics.

Gymnastics actually has 5000+ show up over game? That is impressive.

Or are you talking bout paid attendance.

I think the lack of external rivals has created internal rivalry at LSU.

Can't you just be excited about gymnastics and not be a little bitch about it?
