He loses three games this year, we get hammered with the wannt to win every game label.

I've wanted him gone for several years. My criteria was with his salary, staff, facilities, and recruiting base, there is no damn reason to come in third or fourth in SEC west every year. I expect ATL every three or four years and a NC serious run every four or five. I don't think that is unrealistic.

However, we have a more dignified Dale Brown as a coach.

I'm just trying to predict how we receive a coach going 7-5 or worse in his first year or two. Does sfp immediately ruminate on how to get rid of him or do we accept worse seasons than we've seen for a few years with the same hopes some have now.

it all depends on what is installed and how we develop

the process and what not

you think Bama fans look back at Saban's first year and grind their teeth with what he developed afterwards?

The buyout after this year is not as bad as some think.

Getting him out the door is the issue, the culture comment is spot on, but people are sick of this shite year after year after year.

I don't have any delusions that Saban is hopping in the captain's chair after miles is gone. It's as or more likely that we get a dud to replace him. That scares me and it takes years to fix it. My point is people need to be prepared to suck worse for longer if we make a change. Not saying it's a guarantee, but knowing LSU fans and their impossible expectations, it will hit harder than at other places.

You think we are in the situation Bama was in before Saban?

we probably have a better roster with better recent prestige and results

bama wasn't barren, but it wasn't what LSU is currently

If Beckwith is gone for next year, we could be toast on D.

Yes - surgery is expensive, but not so much when it saves your life.

You know a contract can be altered-if not voided-based on clauses within the contract. I am well aware the derision that "sources," are received with here. But if we wanted to make the change, I believe that we could do so. Easily. With little to no concern over the financial disincentives.

On what type of contractual provision are you basing this assessment?

Just be aware that it is very possible that you replace a wart with a tumor.

Thats why I didn't want him to leave in 2010. The intriguing thing is cam being out of contract this year.

i feel miles does get a new OC to buy him more time

"we're learning a new offense!" gets 1 more year + "we are young" as always. on to 2017

Very true. Two years off not getting an SEC championship will have fans looking for blood

It should have been said, because it was true then as well. There are more Muschamps out there than Sabans.

11-2 and a dominating Cotton Bowl win.

Yeah, perfect time to fire.

You mean the season where it took a miracle to beat a bad Tennessee team? Then he had a miracle season in 2011 that ended in chaos. The every 4 years in the title game is now over with, it is time to move on. Give him next year, then he can retire no matter what happens. I think he has lost the program and keeping him will be like Dinardos last season.

Very true the program has been sliding since 07 actually with 11 being an outlier. Miles' ineptitude on offense has not allowed decent passers into the program. We are going to see him leave but LSU is going to through a couple of bad seasons first.
