Just about everyone I know who are from Louisiana and are fans of out of state schools are also fans of out of state NFL teams. It's in their nature to be different.

There are bandwagon fans everywhere (especially among poor people). These same people were Miami fans in the 80s and 90s, USC fans in the early 2000s, and are now Alabama fans. There's also a weird small segment of ULL students and faculty that support Alabama to troll LSU. Don't say this doesn't exist because I know these people personally.

85% this.

true story: I'm in that meat market in Scott along I-10 with my wife and kids. Older guy in front of me has on a Bama t-shirt, so I playfully say, "man, you might not get a warm welcome around these parts." Guy, turns around and not so graciously in a thick Cajun accent explains to me, "not everybody around here supports the political machine in Baton Rouge!"

I just shook my head and told him he'd get more mileage with a ULL shirt. At which point, my wife intervenes and reminds me we have our kids with us.

Bandwagoners. Watched the game at Hooters this weekend and a large group of Southern/Bama fans roll in. Being obnoxious and laughing at Mett writhing in pain on the field. You know they have no ties to Alabama besides their hatred for LSU because LSU is not Southern.

Also annoying are those from Alabama who want to claim Bama and the Saints (since 09). No.

Poor people are just more likely to be wearing give-away clothes without regard to what's printed on them. You'll find bama "fans" in Guatemala but they probably don't even know who Bama is.

Any "fan" who would knowingly and willingly leave the team they've supported for years to drink the Crimson Kool-Aid...is beyond help. I don't care how bad things get or how bad CLM fks up...I'm not gonna desert the Tigers to join the bandwagon with another team.

Well I wonder why. You guys down talk Southern every chance you can. I am for going for the home team but you folks think that every Louisiana resident is obligated to go for LSU and it does not work like that. I see more LSU fans talking down on SU than SU fans talking down on LSU so don't say SU anything.

Black Tahoe by the UREC has UofA sticker and script A trailer hitch cover (Think it's a professor so I'll give that a pass). 3 cars now by the new Business Complex with Bama front plates and LSU student decals. Not even lying.

It is annoying but every big state school has people who do that. I'm not one of them.
