Hope he doesn't do anything to lose his job.

Gonsoulin will be lighting candles at the shrine of St. Roy Hurd before the season's up.

I thought Culp's kicks looked better last week, even though he got a little too far under the first one. Going with the one who does best at practice hasn't been working, that's for sure.

Gonsulin has just been slightly off with his kicks. A slight adjustment will fix it.

Culp's leg strength scares me.

You obviously have not watched them wam up. Culp hits lots of really bad kicks. He did hit them straight in the game, but based on watching warm ups, Gonsoulin has more upside - He hits it better, more powerful, and elevates it quicker.

That said, I just want hem to make it. I don't care who kicks.

I think Gonsoulin will make a clutch kick later in the season which will quell this discussion.

Remember Wade Richey, back in the bad ol' days? He could haul off and nail a 70 yard FG in practice, and proceed to go 4 for 15 during the regular season.

When Gonsoulin the go-ahead FG at Bryant Denny in the final 5 seconds, I can forgive any missed points earlier in the season

Not likely to happen. If we're in the red zone late at Bama, the Tigers better go for the touchdown

Plus he had a stiff wind. Culp centers the goal post every time. Plus I like the confidence when he said "don't worry coach no more misses". JG has a stronger leg but culp seems more accurate. Hope he's not just a practice warrior because he won the job before season and has shiiat the bed in games. And he won it again this week. Hope both travel cuz if jg misses one get him outta there

Please don't bring up wade richey. He ruined senior day against Alabama in 1998. He missed 3 field goals that could of broke the long losing streak to bama at home. I felt bad for that 95 class of herb Tyler, kevin Faulk, booger McFarland, and tod McClure. He was the last bad kicker we had since then. Now I feel like bama fans with their kickers.

I would almost rather the coaches tell him he's the guy no matter what. Kickers have one job, and that's all they practice. Their troubles are between the ears. If your kicker thinks he's losing his job with a miss, he gets tight.

Make a change later if you need to, but try to eliminate the idea that every kick is a job saver or job killer.

Truthfully, Louisiana generates very few highly ranked or recruited kickers.
