. You do what you want to do. Myself I am going to give them half of the season before I start forming a opinion

Well there's something you don't hear every day. Pretty rich, GG having the audacity to hand out grades.

why does this guy even write for LSU? Haven't seen one positive article from him even when they were doing good.

BS......didn't he predict the 2009 Baseball Championship?

I'm not saying the Guilbeau doesn't like to stir the pot, but don't you get tired of the beat writers who are afraid to tell it like it is?

I have to go with GG on this one. He's not a sunshine pumper and that pisses some off. Hopefully the talent they pull in will outweigh the coaching they will get.

It really is amazing we find so many 18 year olds that are NFL ready straight out of high school. Thank goodness they have to wait three years before they can go pro and choose to come here.

Where do you idiots come from?

Ugh, didn't hear it too much in 2012 or 2013. So maybe he doesn't have a point.

agreed. The Mett days were good. but the JJ days and certainly this year have left much to be desired. Not sure why anyone would be so quick to dismiss a point that seems to have some legitimacy (when the QB isn't a JUCO xfer). Or maybe you feel QB development has been sufficient.

So you think a lack of player development is how it is at LSU?

GG is a joke that probably gets off on people talking shite about his stupid opinions.

i notice you didn't bother to mention Lee's play when you brought up JJ. Lee had major development during his time here.

And Mett developed from '12 to '13, but I'm sure Les had nothing to do with that.

And forgive me for not writing off a first year starter this year. Let's see how he develops before we pass judgement.

No, he's the antithesis, so what's the difference? Bias is bias.

Can any of you guys, say with a straight face, that LSU is sound tactically in anything they do?

The point he is trying to make is that we need X and O people more than we do recuriters.

The very reason why other teams are catching us in recuriting and our studs are leving is becasue they see the on field problems occur year in and out. Its not that they suddenly dislike Les or any of our coaches...good gried some of yall are so blinded by your fandom.

THere's a reason Alabama has been in contention for a title since 2008 and it's been their near constant #1 recruiting classes. We've had the #1 only once in that same span

Ahh so that's why OSU just won the title?

Developing the talent well and coaching it well during the season has been the issue.

Well you are just as dumb as Glenn. Google most NFL players from individual college. The answer will prove you and Glenn don't know two shits about football. LSU develops players period. If you think a highschool senior can just come to LSU not develop at all then leave early for the NFL youre sadly mistaken.

I'm sorry but our problem over the last 5 years has been recruiting. We have fallen off significant in the trenches and have continued to bleed out local line talent to our rivals inside the division and to Texas schools. All the db and rb in the world won't win a championship.

You guys are stupid as shite. This proves the point that we should have been winning championships with all that talent.

The goal in college football is to win championships, not send players to the NFL.

Yet you agree with the OP that LSU doesn't develop players?? But I'm stupid?? The last time we had a mass exodus we were in the title game. Just saying. Last year offense was loaded aND defense wasn't that's why we didn't play for one with the next biggest exodus. So in fact my friend you are the stupid one.

Bama should be winning ever year then. Guess they need better coaches.

The NFL takes players based on physcial measurables, not how well they do the little things. Just because our studs go to the NFL doesn't mean they are coached properly in college.

Tell that to OSU, Oregon, FSU and any of the top 25 teams. Our defense in 2013 was as good as any of those teams defenses.

Keep making excuses for 2013...coaching is why we didn't make it to the NC.

I really don't care what this guy or anyone else has to say. These boys will bring in some of the best and when LSU has the Dline of the past and even better Linebackers to go with the secondary we are known for..... It won't take a genious call for them to make plays. Get the talent on the field and the rest will take care of itself!! When LSU has talent their D has always been good. It's time to address the O and QB position, these guys IMO will be fine!!
