Muschamp hasn't been anything special without Saban.

He was pretty good in his 2 years at Auburn. In fact, if you wanted to compare them head-to-head, see how UTenn and AU did against common opponents those years.

Um, Florida has been in the Top 10 in Total Defense every year he has been there.

Where I think Chief is a ahead of Muschamp now is in dealing with all the exotic O's around.

Yeah Chief seems to handle offenses like aTm way better than most

The Chief

Every year I'm worried he might leave, I worry less as the years pass. We kind of owe Tennessee for that one, Hell no.

go back and look at Muschamps stats as DC at Texas
i was surprised at how unimpressive his texas defenses were. and texas can get pretty much any player they want so it wasn't like he lacked talent. florida has been better than texas was but, he's not dco at florida.

I like chief a lot but he has one major flaw. we lost several games by getting scored on late in 4th qtr. think bama (2012), Clemson (2012), Georgia (2013) ole piss (2013).
and his defenses have kept lsu in many more games when the o or special teams weren't contributing at all.

Chief - He has been very faithful and true to LSU and he has turned out many NFL's. Had he so chosen, he could have departed LSU a couple of years ago - but he didn't. He's proven - careful what you wish for!

The Chief of Course!. Show some loyalty. We are very lucky Tennessee was foolish enough to run him off.

I'll take Chief. Besides, Muschamp would be using it as a stepping stone.

Not even close, Chief all the way for the simple reason the Chief seems not to have aspirations of being a HC. Muschamp will want to give it a go again if something does happen to him at LSU. Why rent a DC when we own a good one and is not going anywhere unless we want that to happen.
