Muschamp is all emotion. Chief is scheme tempered with emotion.

Muschamp's defenses have been in the top 10 of Total Defense since he's arrived in Gainesville. I'd say the guy is a little more than emotion.

Because i don't think that he is as good and irreplaceable as everyone else does on here.

You really don't understand the importance of timing and luck when landing a valid replacement. We can't just let Chavis go and then wave a wand and hire another top-notch coordinator. Of course there are other coordinators of his caliber, but not all of them are sitting and waiting for a phone call from LSU.

Oh, and Chavis IS as good as everyone asserts.

I guess the thing for me is that Muschamp is younger and appears to be a stronger recruiter.

I disagree agree completely with this! Look at the talent we've had on defense since Chavis has been around!!!

Maybe we could keep Chavis and get Muschamp too? Co-Defensive coordinators would be a great idea!!

I guess the (unstated) assumption in the OP is that Chief leaves/retires. NO way would I supplant him with Muschamp.

Muschamp is a great def coach in his own right. IF Chief were to leave and Boom gets canned at UF, he would be very high on my list as a replacement.

Where I think Chief is a ahead of Muschamp now is in dealing with all the exotic O's around.
