because you have 2 BCS titles in 6 years, are loaded with talent and will have another top 5 recruiting class, had an off year with QB meltdown, found your QB in JJ and have the best QB in the US coming in, made the wrong call replacing Pellini and are fixing it. WE DAWGS have ZERO NC's, a mediocre coach who contstantly under-achieves, was pre-season number one, and can't even beat our in-state rival anymore.

Cheer up Tiger fans, the sun will come again for us quicker than you think.

Your friend that's a UGA fan is pretty spot-on.

Thankfully, the "Richt-as-deity" talk has died down; I'd gotten pretty sick of hearing about what a great coach he was yet still only had one SEC title to show for it.

So Georgia has Rantards too. Georgia lost almost their entire OL early in the season and still finished respectable.

we as LSU fans still have it good. The NC's brought on some bandwagon fans than don't remember what it was like back in the 80s & 90s.

Most other teams fans will agree that LSU is still a good team. The QB situation hurt us more this year than most realize.

That is hardly top-secret inside information

I stand corrected then. However, it does little to persuade me that Richt was (is) one of the best coaches in CFB. He's had plenty of teams that fell well below what they could've accomplished.

yeah but he summed it up kinda nicely. I'm a big CFB fan and couldn't tell you all that ails UGA right now, I'd probably just say injuries, Martinez (per their fans griping), and choking.

Why people say Richt is a great coach has puzzled me for years. UGA constantly underachieves.

does anybody ever 'really' feel comfortable about the future? is it one of those 'I can't see the forest for the trees' thing? when you care as much as most of us do it is easy to suffer blurred vision because of the emotional attachment we all have with our team. my bama buddy here said the same thing about LSU the other day..he also said a bad call against Ole Miss and the missed CDavid fg could just as easily been two losses for Bama. We will be back.

Hmmm... well if LSU lands Chavis and Orgeron I will be feeling very good about rebounding quickly... if changes are not made on defense and quarterback development is not obvious then I think UGA will be better than LSU again next year

This IMO is an extremely disapointing year.... but I do like our chances of being very good again next year if changes are made

UGA however is an excellent program IMO that just needs Richt to grab firm control of team discipline again... IMO they had a bit of a pyrrhic victory against Florida last year... storming the field after a TD did throw FLA off their game but since then the team has lacked the self control to avoid stupid mistakes and has sufferred a lot as a result

That, a very tough schedule, and a green OL were the reasons UGA fell well short of their preseason ranking IMO

Yeah but Mark Richt is a good family man who believes in jesus and worships a lot and prays a lot and is always a gentleman and blah blah blah. That stuff only matters when the coach is winning I guess. But considering UGA's injuries, the team was not bad although losing to GT was unacceptable.
