Sitting here watching Auburn vs. Louisville replay from last year. He is very knowledgeable and precise on his analysis. Hope he stays awhile.

Vern has been one of the best but has simply stayed on too long.

He catches stuff during the play that most announcers would miss. All of his calls are relevant and he really draws you into the game.

How about that same game right before half? JJ completed a long pass to Russell Shepard...initially stated in extreme excitement "pass is intercepted!" When he realized the pass was actually caught, shouted out "oh no! The pass was caught!"

Vern was and is a useless crapsack

Gary calls things out before the play ever happens multiple times throughout the broadcast. He is very diligent in his preparation and information.

People who think Gary sucks are just terrible mouth breathers to be honest.

He's one of the best X's and O's analysts in all of football, college or NFL.

He is the best really. Knows football and can call and predict what is going to happen in a game.

Danielson is really good. I like listening to him. His play by play guy is lacking, though.

I like his color as well. And CBS had Blackledge before Gary, and he is equally good. That's why I love the Blackledge/Nessler combo, because they're both awesome. CBS got it half right. I don't hate Verne like some others here, but I think Nessler is great. Gary's professionalism highlights Verne's lack of it.
