This was THE game that would have cemented his Heisman. And it was the worst game of his career by far.
I understand this, but anyone who watched the game could clearly see that our OL was absolutely owned by Bama's DL the entire game.

All season long Les has leashed LF when nearing certain yard totals. Now is the time to unleash LF and let him go on a tear. And it's also time to see Harris step up one level to be the quarterback LSU needs. A game like this past one will burn a fire under someone that a win cannot possibly eclipse. Time to unite the troops, gang, and power forward!

Unfortunately, perception is reality. That game is going to hurt him bad. He's not out of it, but I don't think it's his to lose anymore.

LSU’s offensive line didn’t do Fournette any favors, either. The group failed to open holes against Alabama like it had all season long. But Heisman winners emerge as difference-makers in marquee moments, and Fournette simply didn’t answer the call in the Tigers’ biggest game of the season.

Henry - 218 attempts for 1254 yards - 6.4 YPA.

Fournette - 195 attempts for 1383 yards - 7.1 YPA.

Although ESPN and the national media will conveniently ignore these statistics.

Woodson deserved it over manning. Manning could not best Florida. That's why he lost it.

bummer. i think it is a bit myopic of them. it was very clear watching the game that the lack of production in run game was due to piss poor play calling/adjustments of play calling combined with the fact that everyone in the world knows LSU will run run run run run. that works 90% of the time but against an elite D that KNOWS what's coming it just will not work.

its sucks to punish LF over our coaching. hopefully if he returns to his normal productivity in last 3 games things will change.

I agree with ChunkyLover5 and your observation about Little Nicky having something against LSU. I can't base my opininion on anything, but I think Nick recommended Les to replace him years ago for one reason. If his venture into NFL coaching goes sour, hopefully Les will be bombing at LSU and Nick gets his old job back. The problem is, that didn't happen.

I do know ESPN magazine ran an article after LSU beat Alabama. The article went into detail of how
Les Miles outcoached Nick Saban running an option to
beat Alabama. I said to myself then that Nick has
declared war on LSU and it shows.

Miles had better realize that Nick IS NOT HIS FRIEND.

He played timid and scared all night trying to dance behind an awful oline. He showed he still has a long way to go to be a legend or a successful nfl back. Henry definitely showed how much better he was

I realize that and it sucks for Fournette, because it's not his fault his O-line was destroyed.

Kiffin showed how much better he was. I don't even think he broke a mental sweat Saturday night.

The guy that has 4 games with less than 100 yards and 7 with less than 150?

Nothing new. The Heisman is not actually for the most outsanding player in CFB.

It is usually reserved for the best player on the best team in CFB.
