This is true. Didn't Trent Richardson have more Heisman votes than Montée Ball?

Has Derrick Henry been dominant all year long? He's had three games under a hundred, against cream puffs.

Yeah, I mean, this guy is a great player, but that whole conference is weak. Fournette has about 175 more yards rushing in less games, a higher ypc average and has double the amount of TDs that he has (that includes the guys receiving TDs too). Please...

If LF doesn't get 100yds in each of his last three games or make some key run(s) that help LSU win, he probably will not win the Heisman.

And for the record I think he should still win it, just keeping it in prospective.

Let me guess, Derrick "Mr. 3 games of Sub-100 yards that everyone forgot about" Henry is in first?

The offensive line was could not hold out 7 and sometimes 8 defensive players. I thought once Alabama got called for pass interference that we
would continue to exploit that, but I was wrong.

We didn't go back to a deep pass until way later. I feel that our team didn't respond to what works
and doesn't work.

not another person on that list whose jersey would touch 1/2 of that amount.

I know what to say: our running game crapped the bed in our biggest game of the year WHILE the other team had a player run like a locomotive all day. It's not that hard to comprehend.

All of this.

I quit giving a shite about this when Peyton Manning didn't win. That was kinda like the 2008 election a "I can't believe it" moment

Woodson was incredible though. He is the oldest safety in the NFL today. Dude has made a Pro Bowl in 3 different decades.

NO player could have run on Bama's D if they had the same O Line LSU put on the field
Saturday. Let these two backs trade places (teams) and I think Fournette would have looked all world, too. LF is the same player he was before this game... he got no help

It's not good for the soul. He definitely has a hard-on for LSU. Not sure what he thinks we did to him, but there's some hard feelings there.

You might have something there. Do you think he's still pissed off at Bertman and wants to take it out on LSU?

Derrick Henry now Heisman favorite over Leonard Fournette via @BovadaLV. Odds: Henry 3-2, Fournette 2-1, Elliott 7-1, Coleman & Watson 8-1

Good. Can everyone relax now? After the worse performance possible LF is at basically even odds to win the Heisman. If he goes back to his normal ways the trophy is his

My problem is this: LSU was handling Henry just fine until the LSU offense left those guys on the field time and time again. Henry is just another good back (see Drake's performance) who, thanks to LSUs OLine's effort, got 136 carries in the game. You want to drop LF on your list, fine, but Henry's not a Heisman back.

I don't care about Derrick Henry - but since you brought him up, Henry benefited from looking superior to LF in that game (for whatever reasons, it doesn't matter). The perception is Henry delivered and LF didn't.

LSU’s offensive line didn’t do Fournette any favors, either. The group failed to open holes against Alabama like it had all season long.

But Heisman winners emerge as difference-makers in marquee moments, and Fournette simply didn’t answer the call in the Tigers’ biggest game of the season.

This is when I started laughing. Didn't do him any favors. I saw a stat where Fournette was hit at or behind the line of scrimmage on 16 of 19 runs. You could've had Barry Sanders back there, and he'd have had the same stat line.
