Jeremy Hill out of the backfield in 2012 vs Bama was money. So yeah...

If you mean WR...no.

If you mean catching check downs...yes.

You lost your TE and FB last year on stupid short passes hoping to gain 4 yards.

He should have less than 10catches and none outside the hashes.

The quick flat routes, either to a tight end it running back, force the defense to play sideline to sideline and can open the middle of the field.

This is especially important against the bigger teams like Arkansas and Alabama. I'd like all of our backs to be involved in the passing game.

Moore got hurt on a swing pass, but he caught the ball with his back to the line of scrimmage. I've always hated that route. Give the receiver a look ahead and the play is fine.

It doesn't matter who BH is throwing to out of the backfield, he has not proven that he can actually complete one on a regular basis...
Therefore, LSU is left without the fear it would instill into the opposing defenses in the case of a screen pass, and God forbid LSU'S attempt at a wheel route, just not gonna happen, unless there is a different QB throwing the ball in the fall...
UNLESS, BH learns how to complete them...

Remember that failed wide open screen play over the middle against Bama? If that pass would have been completed I truly believe the game would have been different . I'm not saying LSU would have won but momentum is huge in college football and it can't be valued enough. That play was a sure touchdown.

FB is not a ball carrier. He caught it and tried an akward juke bc he couldn't tell if he had the angle, resulted in taking a bad hit.
Fournette had a similar pass vs ole miss and caught it and juked the guy for a huge gain. One of our better plays of the game, and he had even less time to react than Moore.

LF 15:25 mark

TE had just come back from injury and laid out for a pass and was re injured.
Similar happened to skyler green in 05, and he was an actual WR

Moore caught the ball on a short out pattern which puts the back in a more dangerous position. The back has to catch the ball on then cut back up field nearly 180 to 170 degrees to go forward...

I much prefer to see backs catch the ball on short flare or wheel routes which allow them to catch the ball while accelerating downfield...

just saying..
